❝You came close to ruining my plans, y/n. i didn't have a choice.❞
~3rd pov~
Y/N and Skylor sat in the car, the engine purring softly as they waited for the traffic light to turn green. Skylor was dressed in a long black skirt that swished around her legs, a pretty white blouse that complemented her complexion, and her hair tied into a neat ponytail with a large black bow clipped on the end. She felt pretty, confident, and most importantly, loved.
Y/N had made sure to tell her just that, his words of affirmation coming as naturally as the smile on his face. "You look beautiful today," he'd said, his eyes twinkling with admiration as he helped her into the car. "I'm the luckiest man alive to have you by my side." NOT ROMANTICALLY.
Skylor's heart had fluttered at his words, a warm glow spreading through her chest. She'd returned his smile, her own eyes shining with happiness. not romantically.
Now, as they sat in the car, Skylor couldn't help but notice the constant smile on Y/N's face. "You're ever so happy today!" she exclaimed, pointing out the obvious with a grin.
Y/N's eyes sparkled with excitement as he shared the news with Skylor. "Today I'll be meeting with the rest of the ninja for the last time," he explained, his voice filled with a mix of nostalgia and anticipation. "So they should be free in a week, isn't that great?"
Skylor's head bobbed up and down, her enthusiasm mirroring Y/N's own. "Oh, that's wonderful!" she exclaimed, "When they get out," she began, her voice filled with excitement, "we're all gonna play games together! I'm gonna go shopping with Nya, protest with Kai, go rock climbing with Cole, prank people with Jay, play house with Lloyd, and cook with Zane!"
Y/N's eyes sparkled with mischief as he turned to face Skylor, his hand reaching out to gently tap her stomach. "Heyy!" he teased, his voice playful and light. "What about me, huh?"
Skylor's eyes widened, her body tensing in anticipation as Y/N's fingers began to dance across her midsection. "Stop it!" she exclaimed, her laughter bubbling up from deep within her chest. She squirmed in her seat, trying to evade Y/N's ticklish touch, but to no avail.
Y/N's grin widened, his fingers moving to Skylor's neck, finding the sensitive spots that made her giggle uncontrollably. "Fine," he said, his voice filled with mock sternness. "I'll stop... if you say I'm the best brother in the world!"
Skylor's hands flew up, trying to ward off Y/N's tickling fingers as she gasped for air between fits of laughter. "Okay!" she managed to squeak out, her face flushed and her eyes shining with mirth. "You're the best brother in the world!"
Y/N's grin widened, his satisfaction clear as Skylor reciprocated her love for him. He leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. The simple gesture was filled with affection and care, a testament to the love that flowed between them.
Skylor giggled at the sweet gesture, her body turning to face Y/N as she wrapped her arms around him. "You're a good big brother," she said, her voice filled with sincerity.
Y/N's eyes softened, his hand coming to rest on Skylor's back as he hugged her tightly. "Yeah?" he asked, his voice filled with a mix of pride and affection. "I'll try to keep getting better, then."
The car's engine purred softly in the background as Y/N pulled back, his eyes never leaving Skylor's. He leaned in once more, his lips brushing against her cheek in a tender kiss. "You're the best little sister," he whispered, his voice filled with love.
