«Can we sit here? » Mike's voice woke her up from her thoughts.
She smiled at him nodding.
Two years.
Today it was two years from the incident.
Two years in which she lived in terror.
But she couldn't show any of it to the others.
«Guys, these are homegirls, Sabrina and Bella. » exclaimed Erik sitting down beside a brunette girl who looked extremely uncomfortable with Erik's and Mike's closeness.
«Oh, your homegirls? » asked Mike curiously. Sabrina could smell testosterone all around her, which made her smile amused.
The boy whose name she remembered should be Tyler appeared behind Bella. «My girls. » he stated before kissing Bella's cheek, winking at Sabrina, and taking the chair under Mike, making him fall on the ground running away.
Mike ran behind Tyler around all the cafeteria making all of them laugh. All of them except Bella.
«I'm Sabrina, nice to see I'm not the only new here. » the redhead smiled at Bella, trying to make her feel at ease.
The brunette smiled back thankfully. «I'm Bella. You must have had a bizarre morning just like mine, then. »
Sabrina laughed nodding. The girl named Jessica slide her chair close to Bella astonished. «Oh, my God. It's like first grade all over again. You two are the new shining toys. »
Sabrina scoffed amused, feeling jealousy coming from Jessica's voice. «Forks must be really boring if we are the news. »
«I told you, nothing really happens here. » Melissa reminded her rolling her eyes. «The biggest news we had in this year was clear sky and hot sun for three days straight. »
«Smile! » Angela appeared out of nowhere and flashed Bella with her camera. «Sorry, I needed it for the features. »
«No features for Bella, Angela. » said Erik protectively. «Only for our beautiful Sabrina. » Sabrina gave them a smile while Bella apologized. He stood up probably going to look for Mike and Tyler. «I've got your back, don't worry Baby. » he said to Bella before walking away.
«I think your name will be enough to bring readers. » said kindly Angela to her trying to sound convincing.
«You could go for...eating disorders...» tried to help Bella. «Or speedo padding on the swim team. »
The girls laughed agreeing that it was a good idea. She felt Melissa leaning toward her and whispering. «Remember the look I gave you in math? » Sabrina nodded with her mouth full of food. «Look at the door. » She raised her eyes just in time to see the door opening and five gorgeous people walking in.
«Who are they? » asked Bella curiously.
Angela and Jessica looked behind them. «The Cullens. » the former whispered.
Jessica smirked looking at her plate. «They are Dr. and Mrs. Cullen foster kids. »
Jason sighed deeply. «I swear, if I have to listen one more time you girls talking about them, I'm going to unalive myself with this carrot. »
