I woke up to the soft morning light filtering through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. My first thought was how peaceful everything felt, the kind of tranquility that only comes after a night of passion.

I turned my head slightly, and there she was—Lily, curled up next to me, her hair a beautiful mess across the pillows, and her face relaxed in sleep.

The memories of last night came rushing back, a satisfied smile tugging at my lips as I remembered every moment.

Careful not to wake her, I leaned over and gently brushed a strand of hair away from her face, letting my fingers linger on her soft skin. She stirred slightly, her eyes fluttering open, and when she saw me, a lazy, contented smile spread across her face.

"Morning," she murmured, her voice still heavy with sleep.

"Morning," I replied, my voice low and teasing. "Slept well?"

She stretched languidly, the sheet slipping down to reveal more of her bare skin. "Mmm, very well," she said, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Though I wonder why I'm so tired..."

I chuckled, pulling her closer so our bodies were pressed together. "Maybe it had something to do with last night?" I suggested, my tone dripping with playful insinuation.

Lily laughed softly, her fingers tracing patterns on my chest. "Maybe," she agreed, her voice teasing. "Or maybe it was because someone couldn't keep their hands to themselves after they've got the surprise..."

"Guilty as charged," I admitted, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "But you didn't seem to mind."

She grinned, her eyes glinting with that playful edge I loved so much. "No, I didn't," she confessed, her voice dropping to a sultry whisper. "In fact, I think I enjoyed it a little too much."

"Is that so?" I asked, raising an eyebrow as I leaned in closer, my lips brushing against her ear. "Maybe we should test that theory..."

She giggled, squirming away from me just enough to break the tension. "We'd never get out of bed if we did that," she pointed out, though there was a tempting note in her voice.

"True," I agreed, though I couldn't resist planting a few more kisses along her neck, making her shiver in my arms. "But there are worse ways to spend the day."

Lily rolled her eyes playfully, but she didn't pull away. Instead, she turned her head to catch my lips in a soft, lingering kiss, one that made my heart race just a little bit faster.

Eventually, though, she broke the kiss and sat up, the sheets pooling around her waist. "As tempting as that sounds," she said, stretching her arms above her head, "we do have plans today. Remember?"

I groaned, falling back against the pillows dramatically. "Right, Chloe and Martin are coming over."

Lily laughed at my exaggerated disappointment, playfully swatting at my chest. "Don't sound so disappointed! It'll be fun."

"I know, I know," I sighed, sitting up and running a hand through my hair. "I'm just enjoying the moment."

She smiled at that, leaning over to give me one last kiss before slipping out of bed. "Come on, Mr. Norris," she teased, grabbing one of my t-shirts from the floor and pulling it over her head. "We've got a barbecue to prepare."

I watched her as she walked into the bathroom, the sight of her in my t-shirt doing things to me that I couldn't quite describe.

But I knew she was right—if we didn't get moving, we'd be late getting everything ready for Chloe and Martin.
