Lily

The early morning air was crisp as I slipped out of bed, careful not to wake Lando. The room was still dark, the only light coming from the soft glow of the clock on my nightstand.

It was barely past 5 AM, and the world outside our windows was still wrapped in the quiet of dawn. I moved quietly, grabbing my clothes and heading into the bathroom to get ready.

Today was a big day—a day that could potentially change the course of my career, and maybe even my life. I had received offers from Dior, Prada, Chanel, and Vogue to model for them, and while the excitement was undeniable, it also brought a wave of uncertainty.

Could I really juggle two demanding careers? Could I leave McLaren, a place that had become my second home, where I worked alongside Lando, who was not just my boyfriend but also the person I loved more than anything?

I sighed, trying to push the thoughts away as I focused on getting ready. My reflection stared back at me in the mirror, my eyes betraying the nervous energy I felt.

After brushing my hair and applying a touch of makeup, I slipped into a casual yet chic outfit—jeans, a simple white blouse, and a tailored blazer. I needed to look professional but not overdone, confident but approachable.

I glanced at Lando one last time before I left, his sleeping form curled under the blankets. A small smile tugged at my lips.

He looked so peaceful, and for a moment, I was tempted to crawl back into bed with him, to forget about everything else and just be with him. But I knew I had to go. This was important.

The streets were mostly empty as I drove to the Dior agency, my hands gripping the steering wheel a little tighter than usual. My mind was racing with thoughts of what the day might bring.

I had called the agency a few days ago, setting up this meeting. They had been enthusiastic, eager to meet with me and discuss the possibility of working together. It was flattering, of course, but it also felt surreal.

I had never considered modelling as a serious career path, but now, with these opportunities knocking on my door, I couldn't help but wonder if it was something I should pursue.

As I pulled up to the Dior building, a sleek, modern structure that exuded elegance and class, I felt a flutter of excitement mixed with nerves. This was it.

I parked the car and took a deep breath before stepping out. The cool morning air brushed against my skin, grounding me as I walked toward the entrance.

The reception area was stunning, all clean lines and luxurious details. The receptionist greeted me warmly, offering me a seat while I waited. I didn't have to wait long before a well-dressed woman in her mid-thirties approached me, her smile wide and welcoming.

"Lily, it's so lovely to meet you in person," she said, extending her hand. "I'm Isabelle, the head of the Dior modelling division."

"It's great to meet you too, Isabelle," I replied, shaking her hand firmly.

Isabelle led me through the hallways of the agency, pointing out various studios and offices. The whole place buzzed with creativity and energy, and I couldn't help but feel a little awed by it all.

Eventually, we arrived at one of the studios where a photographer was waiting to take some photos for my portfolio.

"Don't worry, we're just going to do a few test shots," Isabelle said reassuringly. "We want to capture your natural beauty and see how you work with the camera."

I nodded, taking a deep breath as I stepped in front of the camera. The photographer was kind and professional, giving me simple directions as he snapped away.
