Episode starts.
Narrator: Ashley and her friends arrive in Celadon City, the great metropolis renowned both for its tall buildings, and it's good scents.
Jigglypuff soon smells something.
Jigglypuff: Jiggly!
Brock soon catches the scent, along with Misty.
Brock: Something smells heavenly!
Misty: Perfume.
Brock soon follows the scent.
Ashley: Wait, Brock! Where you going?! I know like the smell of perfume, but Brock's just crazy for it.
Brock presses his face against the window.
Ashley: Who you making faces at, Brock?
Brock: My nose tells me that this is my kind of town!
Ashley looks inside the window and sees that the shop is a perfume shop with some of the female employees wearing pink uniforms.
???: So, then he says "maybe we can both go together."
Brock: I think we should stay here a while.
Ashley: Well, as much as I would to smell the perfume. Misty, Jigglypuff, let's get moving. We got to find that gym.
Ashley turns and sees that no one is behind her.
Ashley: Misty? Jigglypuff?
Brock taps on Ashley's shoulders and points to them inside.
???: This scent is one of our most popular. It's called, "Daffodil Dream".
The employee sprays it and Misty smells it.
Misty: It smells just like a garden.
???: We're having a fragrance sale.
Misty: How much does this one cost?
Ashley then walks off to find the gym.
Ashley: I'll meet you three at the gym.
Soon, Ashley finds her way to the Celadon City gym, where inside at the front desk are two girls wearing safari clothes who smile at her as she walks in.
???: Hello, is there something we can help you with?
Ashley: Yes, I'm here to challenge your gym master to a battle for badge.
???: Sorry, but the gym leader is out right now, but she will be back in the evening. Please come back then.
Ashley looks down in disappointment.
???: Erika has a second job other than this gym. Which is why there's so many of us. The Pokémon Center will be a good place to wait if you haven't been there already, and there are plenty things to do in the city until Erika returns.
Ashley: Ok.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket heads to the back window with a ladder.
Meowth: Looks like da coast is clear.
Jessie: Once we break inside, we'll steal the secret formula for their perfume. (imagines herself as an Egyptian pharaoh) Then I'll be as irresistible as Cleopatra.
James: I'll sell the formula and make myself zillions of bucks! That's enough money to buy my own country! Or my own planet, even!
Meowth: A nine lifetime's supply of cat grub!
