Episode starts.
Narrator: After winning a Rainbow badge from Erika, Ashley and her friends find themselves in a new city.
Ashley: Gee, it feels like all these buildings are closing in on us!
Misty: Yeah, and they're all so tall, you can't even see the sky!
Ashley: Where are we, Brock?
Brock: A, HopHopHop Town?
Ashley and Misty: HopHopHop?
Jigglypuff: Puff.
???: Annie!
Ashley: Huh?
???: Arnold!
A woman comes up and hugs Ashley, thinking that she's a kid, possibly her daughter, named Anna.
???: Where have you been, Arnoldina? Mother's been so worried!
Ashley: Excuse me, but my name is Ashley!
Misty: And my name is Misty, ma'am.
Brock: She wasn't talking to you, Misty.
Misty: I guess not.
Misty gets pulled aside by Brock.
???: Oh! I'm so sorry! But you look just like my Arnold.
Ashley: Huh?
Misty: What happened to her?
Mrs. Henderson: I'm so upset because my daughter, Annie, just disappeared. She's been gone for three days! I can't find him anywhere.
Brock: And you haven't heard from her?
???: Not a word.
Ashley: Could he have gone off to become a Pokémon trainer?
???: She did like Pokémon, of course, but she never mentioned anything about becoming a trainer.
Misty: Don't you think he'll probably just come home soon?
The woman shakes her head no.
???: My daughter isn't the only child who's disappeared recently.
Our heroes look in shock.
Brock: Shee's not?
The woman turns to a wall with multiple posters of missing kids on them.
???: See those posters?
Ashley: Posters?
???: Those are pictures of all the children that have disappeared.
Misty: That many?!
Ashley: This must be a pretty dangerous town.
Misty: My picture's gonna be on posters, when I'm a big, famous star. (notices that no one took her seriously) Excuse me!
Brock: Maybe in horror movies.
Jigglypuff: Jigglypuff.
Soon, they hear a familiar voice.
???: They certainly were nice children. All of them.
The voice is soon revealed to belong to Officer Jenny.
Officer Jenny: Disappearing one by one like that. I just can't understand it. Let's see, where should I hang this one.
Ashley rushes to Officer Jenny.
