The next day came , everything went back to normal, except that I confessed to Lexi ,and I meant it ,I would like to date her if she is okay with it .
I went to work as usual,but I didn't expect to find someone in my office.
" Mother".
" Haven't I told you to be greeting elderly properly".
I sighed.
" Good morning mother,how have you been".
"Not to good".
I sighed and looked at my mother from head's to toes, everything from heads to toes spoke rich ,my parents always liked to dress like that to show the world where the stand and that's on top of the stairs.i really never like and will never like how they look down on people.
I watched her has she moved her hands from one item to another,then to Mitchell's picture that was on my office desk and she put the picture down to hide Mitchell face.
" Why didn't you came home after you visited Mitchell yesterday?"
" You never want to see my face on that day so I didn't".
And I heard her sigh , while she closed her eyes.
" Yes ,but that's in the past now".
" Why the sudden change of heart,you always have hated me".
"I know,I know,I know what you father and I did to you from then until now ,I know you would understand it was out of love ".
" No.. it was out of pain and hatred you both clearly said that to my face everytime we would met ,you took me to an orphanage so that you wouldn't be seeing my face,I grow up and made my own money and now you come back that's not love mother!"
" Michael will , discuss it later but first please get back together with mia".
" What did you say?"so that's what it all about,you came all this way to tell me that,I even thought you were really becoming my mother again".
" Michael".
" No ..I made my decision I want to be a free man and make my decisions it's my life.. you can't first force me to marry her and then you come back in my life like nothing happened.... Am sorry mother I can't ".
" Michael, it's for your own good,she loves you,she made a mistake... Michael if you refuse will take your business down and your money ".
" Now you are threatening me mother because of a young girl who is controlling you and who's parents have got money more than you have... Am sorry you can't threaten me with my own money and business which I grew with my own bear hand's".
Then Allen entered in as always without knocking.
" Hey Champ ,Mr Nicolas"....has he looked up and saw my mother there ,he stopped .
"Am sorry,I will be leaving".
" No.. you can come in Allen I will be leaving how are you by the way".
" Am good mam ,how have you been?"
" Good son ,I have been good... Alright am leaving and Michael we need to talk more of this with your father and Allen take good care of Michael".
" Yes mam ".
" Oh and one more thing Michael".
My mother said has she put on her sunglasses.
" She is in the way ,get rid of her and you know who am talking about ".
" Mother!"
And just like that she left,I got so angry,she has not right to come back in my life and tell me what to do.
" Champ, what's going on?"
" I don't know,I really don't know".
