chapter 2 Not one of them

I went straight to my apartment to pickup lily.
" How are my favorite grandparents?"
" They are okay,they asked about you guys".
" That's great,I hope I can visit them soon ".
" You will ".
We finally reached dad's place,I couldn't get out of the car I just stared at the house .
" I can't get inside".
" Of course you can , how are you going to face your fears , it's going to be okay".
" How do you know?"
" Come on am sure dad's going to be happy to see you and dad's girlfriend".
Ooh right I forgot dad started dating a certain beautiful and kind lady am sure mom wouldn't have wanted him to remain single ,I thought.
" Alright let's go in."
We entered in the house and it smelt beautiful .
" Hey there girls",tina greeted us.
" Hii ,Tina ",we both greated her ,then started laughing weird we said it at the same time and it happens every time, well almost.
" Smells good Tina",Lily said.
" Thanks,get ready it's almost done".
" Where are dad and the boys?"
" James is upstairs,your dad and Edward are at the backyard".
" Alright thanks, Lexi let's go".
" You go ahead,I will help Tina a bit".

After Lily Left,I sat on the stool in the kitchen.
" Something wrong, Lexi".
" It's nothing".I said helping Tina out.
" Lexi,I may not know everything,well most of it ,but they love you ".

" Give them time okay, go am sure your dad would be worried why you didn't go out to greet him".

I went out,I saw dad planting something in the garden,while Edward was helping him ,while lily was just talking and talking.
Edward spotted me and gave me a look,that made me take a step back in fear,he got up and went in the house using the front door
I was sad and relieved at the same time.
" Hii dad".
" There's is my other angle,what took you so long to get out here",he said while he gave me a hug.
" I was helping Tina".
" While avoiding Edward ",lily said.
" Lily please ".
" Okay that's enough you ,too ,we are going to finger it out together, like always ".
" Okay,"we both said at the same time and giggled.

" Dad!!!".we did it again.
We all laughed and decided to go in the house for dinner, it's going to be awkward.
Dinner was quiet,we spoke a few word's here and there,and now the meeting time we all ahead to the living room.
" So I brought you all here today,not just to have dinner together but to talk too and say that,Tina and I will be getting married soon so we need your support and help ,who ever is willing say something".
" Well I will help dad ,has long has it's makes you happy", Edward said.
" I may not be working but I will help you to", James said.
" I will help you to daddy, since Lexi's and I do fashion will make Tina's dress".
" Lexi's isn't a brook ,dad was asking the Brooks,"Edward said in anger ".
" Edward, that's something else we need to talk about let it go it's in the past now."

" And she was my wife , Edward my wife do you know how much it hurt I felt losing her".
That's stung me a lot,and it all my fought,they lost someone so precious because of me .
" You psychopath ", Edward said with detest.
" Edward!!! Stop this ", Lily shouted.
" How could you say that,it was an accident ,she didn't mean it she was scared and traumatized because of her past you can't blame her".
" So you are talking her side ,she killed our mother ".
Dad stood up from rubbing his temple and slapped Edward hard he stabled back.

" Enough is enough ".
" Fine keep you psychopath and killer to yourself and am not helping with the wedding sorry Tina", Edward said and was leaving.
I got on my feet and knelt Infront of him , crying begging him to forgive me.
" Am sorry,am sorry,am sorry please forgive me am sorry I didn't mean to ,I loved mom too".
" My mom Lexi,my mom and you took her away ".

Edward just left ,and James was standing up to live for this room,I stood up and knelt Infront of James .
" Am sorry James please forgive me".
He did nothing but just pass me and left I cried it was painful it's all my fault I broke this family.
" Daddy am sorry".
" Get up baby it's okay".
" Am so sorry it's all my fault".
" Lexi it was an accident ,you didn't mean too ",lily said.
" How can you say that,I took someone important to you",i said while crying.
" I need fresh air ,I have to go",I said and ran out .
" Dad",lily said.
" Let's follow her ,she couldn't have gone far on foot but when they came out I was already gone.
I ran and ran and began to slow down I could remember everything.
The time I was sleeping a while after I was adopted by the Brooks when I was 8 .And I was 12 Year's the when it happened.
I was sleeping, my nightmares never left me the haunted me all the time even in my sleep,I woke up screaming, trying to take in some air , that's when mom came.
" Baby what's wrong".
" But I wasn't seeing my mother,I was seeing my biological father coming towards me to beat me up".
I took the scissors across the bed and held it.
" Stay away from me , monster".
" Drop the scissors it's me mommy calm down I just want to help to you".
" Liar ".I screamed
And just when she was about to touch me ,I sliced her wrist and she collapsed.
I got to my senses , that's when Edward entered in.
" What did you do ".
" I didn't,I promise it was an accident ".

Dad entered in ,and knew what happened in here and took mom to the hospital, from then on she got in and out of the hospital in and out,in and out until she went in and never came out that day was another of my worstest days .both my mother's were gone i lost my biological mother at 5 and another at 12 such tragic.edward hated me ever since and James he was just a baby but he got to know what happened and never talked to me.and for dad and lily they are the only ones who stood by my side even when all that happened.
Not realizing I was in the middle of the road when it was to late,I got hit by a car ,how unfortunate it's seems I maybe going to my death too .
