Diego broke the grave silence with his laughter, "really good joke..."

"It wasn't a joke..." said Lila in all seriousness.

Diego's expression changed again, as if perhaps expecting her to take the opportunity to blame it all on an attempt at weird humor.

"Is it because of him?" He nodded his head towards Five, but didn't even look at him.

"No. I want it for me!"

"You picked a great time and place to do it!"

Lila laughed irritably, "Me!? You think I wanted it that way? Unload on you in the middle of the bar in front of everyone? I wanted to deal with this in private and most importantly, in peace. You're the one giving me no choice with your ideas! If you thought I was gonna put my head down in front of everyone and pretend we're okay, you're sorely mistaken, Diego. I didn't ask for this absurd spectacle."

"You're so ungrateful, why am I even trying?"

"Yes, I'm ungrateful because you remembered after a few years that I don't wear a wedding ring! And I'm ungrateful because I don't want to renew my vows with you in a marriage that hasn't worked... for me for a hell of a long time!"

Diego shook his head as if perhaps this was complete news to him and laughed again, embarrassed, probably due to the influence of the alcohol.

"So I'm going to give you a chance, after all that, after you fucked my brother and you're the one who wants a divorce after all, because you're the wronged one here, well that's perfect."

Lila downed the rest of the contents of her glass in one gulp and set it on the table with considerable vigor.

"If you have anything else you want to say to me, please do, but it'll be outside, I'm not going to make a spectacle of myself in front of the whole bar." She turned on her heel and started to leave with a brisk step.

It was only a second before her eyes sought out Five, but right after that she was out the door and out into the parking lot.

All of the family members looked quite taken aback.

Sloane looked at Luther, who had his arm around her waist, and whispered: "Oh, if only you could see the colors of their emotions. This is not going to end well..."

Diego looked at everyone, then he too finished his drink and made his way over to Lila. He too looked at Five as he left, and his look was very angry to say the least, and there was some disappointment in it.

Once Diego was gone, Five used his powers to relocate himself before anyone could say anything to him.

--

"Go ahead, I'm listening!"

"Now you've gotten better, so you decided to dump me, huh? Genius Five will surely be a better match than your dumb husband!"

Lila rolled her eyes, "here we go again..."

"I really don't understand how you could even think of starting anything with him! For about a thousand good reasons, you two should stay as far apart as possible!"

"Even if I explained it to you, you still wouldn't listen to me, so I won't bother. Besides, why are we dealing with Five, our divorce has nothing to do with him!"

"Oh really, so it's over between you two?"

"It's not over. But even if it did, it doesn't change my decision!"

"This is so sick! Don't even get me started on the fact that he's your brother-in-law... but he's too young for you... and too old at the same time!" He was still pursuing the topic. "God, you saw him when he looked like a thirteen year old school boy and now you're sleeping with him... that's really perverted."
