Diego looked around and walked to the center of the main hall, "Wow, it looks like the party is in full swing! I guess it was just for VIPs, huh?"

"Yeah, exactly, whoever's being an asshole wasn't invited." Lila walked up to him.

"Have you told everyone the great news yet, darling?" His expression was hateful for a moment and then he laughed, "Your doctor's office called our house today for some results, the nurse congratulated me on our next baby, isn't that great?"

Lila stared at him in surprise.

"Yeah, they said they couldn't reach you on your phone, so they called our house. That's an interesting coincidence, isn't it?" His faked smile turned into a frown.

Several peppy curses ran through Lila's head, at how this was yet again a completely stupid coincidence. "Diego, I didn't want you to find out like this."

"Yeah, so you didn't want to? And this party of yours is supposed to mean what? Celebrating the new apartment? A baby? An engagement? I'm almost surprised you didn't tell me that as hot news! You two," he looked at Five and back at Lila, "have no boundaries whatsoever! You're really surprising me more and more, even though I thought I couldn't possibly! What other surprises do you have for me?"

"Diego, if you calm down, we can talk about this normally and calmly."

"I'm completely calm! Why wouldn't I be either. What's the point? It's just my wife cheating on me with my brother who thinks he's the best in the family! They're enjoying their new apartment and they're gonna have a baby together! Why respect a husband either, right?"

Lila was growing angry, tired of hearing the same reproaches over and over again.

"Have you decided to trade everything in your life for a better version? Oh yeah, the stupid brother for the smart one, the suburban house for a luxury apartment. You know how to make it all work, don't you? Are you tired of our kids making new ones so fast?"

"You are seriously pushing my patience limits!"

"Are they even mine, or did you keep some other affair from me with someone else?"

Lila couldn't hold back anymore and slapped him, "One more word about our kids and you'll see what a bitch I can really be!"

Diego was momentarily taken aback by her reaction, he wanted to say something but Lila had just run out of patience.

"No, now you'll listen to me! I've had just about enough of your insults and your constant whining! Years ago, all I had to do was listen to you complain about something all the time, how nothing is enough and it only gets worse! I wanted a break, but you never respected that. I wanted a divorce and you didn't even respect that. You always find the worst time to come and start telling me everything over and over again!"

"Guys?" Klaus echoed, things starting to shake slightly around them.

"Do you feel the need to prove to everyone that you're the best? So your siblings can pat you on the back about how great you are? Did you remember to invite Allison too? I'm sure she'd love to see this unforgettable show too!"

Only an apparently visible energy began to form around Lila, the kind that even Victor had been able to create before, even her skin seemed paler.

"Holy shit!" Luther echoed.

"Lila..." Five tried to approach her, but she didn't seem to notice either of them.

Diego wanted to back away from her, but it was as if perhaps something was holding him in place. There was a strange atmosphere in the whole apartment.
