Freya Mikaelson spent an eternity craving for a family. People who would love her and be by her side at any moment.

When she was released from the endless sleep with Dahlia, no words could describe the happiness and the relief she felt when the opportunities started to open up to her.

Yes, there were many and many complications. They accompany the Mikaelson family wherever they are, but still, it was what she wanted.

Brothers, sisters, even a niece and a nephew, something that should be impossible.

It was interesting for her to get to know Rosalind at first. Especially when the backstory as to how did she end up with the Mikaelsons came along.

Firstly, she thought it was a joke, considering everything that happened ever since Rosalind and Klaus met, back in Mystic Falls. Then, she realized it was all real.

Not only this though.

Rosalind is an unique soul and even though not blood related to Freya, she considered as if it is.

They're both blonde with light eyes. Could easily pass as real sisters.

Also, something she learned from Rosalind...

Family comes from the most unthinkable places.

When Freya spent those 6 months taking care of Theodore and Hope while Rosalind was cursed at the Bayou, she got to know through Klaus and Elijah who the beautiful mother of the little tribrids are.

They had their different versions of some stories, but still...

She made sure to go to the Bayou sometimes to see Rosalind.

Soon enough, they did develop a strong friendship. Which even bothered Rebekah a bit.

She didn't even know who she was more jealous of.

And for many and many times, Freya apologized to Rosalind for even insinuating that she's not a Mikaelson.

The last 7 years after the Hollow proved their bond in an expected way.

All the insecurities Freya had about Keelin and her feelings, Rosalind had just the right answer for her. Even promised Freya that one day, when they're to get married, she would personally make their wedding dresses.

As for Freya, she was the one who personally saw all that happened between her brothers and Rosalind.

When Elijah left and Klaus made her go.

She remembers the last time she went to visit Klaus, in a failed attempt to speak to him and solve whatever was happening with him. Then, she came back, quiet like never before, without the ring Klaus previously gave her.

After a week, she explained everything that happened and that if Klaus ever wanted to know about the twins, he would speak with Freya or with them through the phone. Not with her anymore.
