SPECIAL EPISODE
"LOVE NEVER FELT SO GOOD"
Who's ever wished to own a time machine, in order to go back how many necessary times to fix those situations we cringe just at the memory?
It's a familiar feeling. No one is ever free of it, at least once in a lifetime.
Regret is a bitter taste and never wants to go away. It keeps haunting and taunting whoever continues to feed this state of mind or soul. Maybe both.
Trust me, for Elijah Mikaelson, isn't any different.
...Flashback 2013, safe house, Arkansas...
When the decision of sending the Mikaelson twins away, to save them from Esther, never once crossed their minds it'd take so long to have the babies back.
8 months never felt so long. Especially for babies.
The pain, the void left behind, killed Rosalind and Klaus day by day.
The only problem? They're now immortal, almost impossible to kill.
When the time of finally meeting them again finally came, the nerves were on high.
Esther had just recently kidnapped Elijah, Klaus spent forcefully time with his real father Ansel and Rosalind discovered about the marriage between two alphas that could unify the wolves and pass abilities through the whole pack.
Still, all Rosalind could really see was the beautiful blue eyes of her children.
At first, she couldn't even believe in her own eyes. They're so beautiful, so perfect, a lot like her and Klaus. It's almost unexplainable.
Also, the fear she once had about the babies not knowing who she is or not knowing how to be a good mom, went quickly away when Theodore and Hope immediately snuggled into her, refusing to let go even when they were hungry.
It felt like they were really awaiting for her, counting the days to finally be in her arms again.
The more Rebekah told her about these past few months she spent with the youngest Mikaelsons, more Rosalind bawled her eyes out.
She will never be able to thank Rebekah enough for what she did. Not that Rebekah needed anything at all. After all, she's living her dream, taking care of her niece and nephew.
It's actually a challenge for Rosalind to put the babies down to sleep, seeing that they were both making very clear their want to stay in her arms. Even fighting against their sleep.
If they could actually speak, Rosalind was sure they certainly whine for her to stay, afraid she would have to leave them again.
What seems to work was when she placed one of her blouses inside the crib. Both babies immediately cuddled against it, closing their little eyes with their respective pacifiers, funnily fisting the blouse with their little hands.
The house is quiet.
Klaus and Rebekah left to start their part of the plan against Esther, while Rosalind and Elijah stayed with the babies.
