Chapter Thirty-Four

[ your pov ]

"It's not fair..." I quietly said, as tears flowed down my cheeks. "I-it's not fair!"

Why do I always have nightmares like this?

"(Y/n)..."

Please, please stop! "Please leave me alone!!"

The echoing voice erupted an echoing laughter. "You cute, pathetic, little girl..."

"L-little?" I whispered.

"You couldn't save them!" A burst of energy shoved me to the wall, and I had screamed in the process, in pain. "YOU COULDN'T EVER SAVE THEM." Yet again, the laughter rose in volume.

"Save who?!" I yelled as loud as my aching body could handle.

"Them."

The wall had suddenly disappeared and all around myself was a black void. Dead children surrounded me, their eyes all hollow, bloody holes and cuts and bruises around each and everyone's body.

"What's the meaning of this!? Are you trying to make this nightmare hell?! End it! End it!!"

The mysterious voice I couldn't quite figure out who suddenly sounded a lot closer to me and said, "Oh, but baby..."

"This is reality."

(Y/n) shrieked as the heart monitor increased rapidly on the screen. The ones present, Ina, Caleb, Vincent, Jeremy and the doctor, instantly replied by grabbing her and trying their best to calm her down.

"Hell."The first word that came out of her mouth when she had relaxed.

"Reality really is a living hell. Isn't it?" She turned her head in the most peculiar of ways towards Vincent. "Isn't it, sir?"

"Sir?" Vincent scrunched his nose in confusion. "Who're you talking to, (Y/n)?"

"I'm speaking to you, sir." She made a crooked smile before turning towards the doctor.

"Life likes to trick us, doesn't it?"

"Huh?" He replied, "I- I guess, indeed it does, Miss (y/l/n)."

"Actually, life just wants to kill us."

Heads were turned to (y/n). Wondering why she was speaking oddly and... Emotionless.

"What ever do you mean, (y/n)?"

(Y/n) didn't reply.

"(Y/n)?"

"Who?" She tilted her head.

Vincent looked at Ina, who looked at Caleb, who looked at (Y/n), who looked at the doctor.
