To The Dazzling You

Chapter 10

Sunghoon stretched his arms to get rid of the tension that had built up in his shoulders during the past hours. He was sitting at his desk and had just finished the last paragraph of the paper he had to hand in next week. As always, he liked to be finished earlier, so he could go over everything again.

He might not have chosen his major himself, but he still worked diligently for all his classes. That's how he was and how he had always been.

It had been a week since they had returned from the penthouse and life was going on normally. The others had promised to not bust Sunoo's secret to anyone and Sunghoon had sworn to himself that he would protect Sunoo and his wish to become what he wanted. Of course, he hadn't told anyone about it.

The alpha heard a door opening and immediately the whole room was filled with a mixture of the scent of Sunoo's body wash. The omega had just taken a shower after sleeping in on this Friday morning.

Sunghoon pouted, he would rather smell the omega's real scent, but ever since they had come back, Sunoo had taken suppressants to conceal his pheromones again.

The older heard Sunoo go up to his bedroom and decided to get ready as well.

Today was Sunoo's appointment at the doctor's office and Sunghoon would drive him there, just as he had promised.

When he came down to their living room area, Sunoo was already sitting at the small dining table, his body all stiff, sitting up, and his finger's fumbling. He was nervous, and Sunghoon could only imagine how he felt.

Last night Sunoo had told him that he was scared of the appointment. He was afraid that the doctor would tell him to stop using the suppressants and that with this his whole dream would shatter.

Sunghoon had felt deeply for his friend. He saw the light in the younger's eyes when he talked about dancing and the upcoming performance - it would be a disaster if that light ever disappeared.

Sunoo was staring outside at the rainy day and the colorful leaves that were now hanging down due to the water hitting them constantly. Although his body was rigid, his cheeks looked full and rosy, shimmering with a fire that hadn't been there until last week.

Sunghoon cleared his throat and successfully pulled the younger's attention from the outside world to himself.

"Ready," he asked to which Sunoo took a deep breath and nodded. He stood up and took a step towards the door. Automatically Sunghoon put a hand on his shoulder, giving him a soft squeeze.

When Sunoo's eyes looked up at him, he gave him a smile.

"It will be alright, Sunoo. I'm sure things will work out well!"

Sunoo let out a long breath and nodded, a small smile appearing on his lips.

"I hope so too! It's my dream and I've met you and the guys and yeah... I just don't want it to end!"

The alpha ignored how his heart skipped a beat at the younger's words.

He rubbed his shoulders as he answered.

"I will make sure that you can continue your studies. The doc is Jay's older cousin and he despises the way omegas are treated in our society. I'm sure he'll find a way to help you."

"I just hope he won't tell on me to the university."

"He might have graduated from here, but trust me, he hates the people that run this school."

Sunghoon didn't think it was necessary to tell Sunoo that Jin, the doctor, had been romantically involved with Seri and that he had gone berserk after what had happened to her. Just like Sunghoon, he had given up when Seri had passed away. He had moved to a smaller town outside Seoul and had opened a small office there. He had even taken his mother's last name Kim to cut all the ties to his past.
