Heeseung nodded and grabbed the documents.

"Alright. If this is what you want, I will give those papers to my father. He will certainly use them in some way. I'm pretty sure that your father will go down after my father gets them. Are you really sure you want to do that to him?"

Sunghoon felt a soft touch on this arm and looked up to see Sunoo gently touching him.

The omega looked worried.

"Are you really sure, Hoonie? This will probably destroy him."

Sunghoon nodded and grabbed Sunoo's hand to intertwine their fingers.

"I know, pretty. I'm aware of that and I am fine with it."

The omega still looked worried, but Sunghoon gave him a reassuring smile and turned back to Heeseung.

"Let your father do whatever he deems necessary. I am done with my father. I just want us to be safe from him."

"Okay, Hoon. I'll go and give it to him now."
He stood up and Jake did the same. They said goodbye and left the penthouse, leaving the couple behind.

Sunghoon came back to the couch after he had seen them off.

Sunoo opened his arms when the alpha came closer, and Sunghoon immediately dove into them.

The omega leaned back and laid down, pulling the alpha on top of him.

Sunghoon settled in his arms, pushing his face into Sunoo's neck.

"I am so, so sorry, Hoonie. This is horrible."

"Don't be sorry. As I said, my father is long gone. The last good memories I have with him are from my childhood days. It's high time I close that chapter of my life."

"What about your mom?"

Sunghoon huffed a breath.

"Yeah, I thought about her, too. I hope she wasn't involved in anything and can get out of it. Maybe it is a chance for her to get away from him. I'm not sure. But..."

"But?"

"She will manage. She has managed until now, and I'm sure she will continue to do so."

Sunoo stayed quiet afterwards and stroked Sunghoon's hair softly.

The alpha enjoyed the touch and let himself relax. He became completely calm, his breath going in regular intervals and his eyes falling shut slowly.

In a way it felt like the calm before a storm.

They stayed like this for some time, Sunoo continuing to stroke his hair while the alpha inhaled the omega's scent and let himself be engulfed in the soft lavender and cotton fragrance.

Suddenly Sunoo inhaled deeply as well.

Sunghoon pulled his head back a little, looking down at the omega underneath him.

Sunoo's hair was slightly tousled, his cheeks rosy from the warmth that had built up between their bodies. His beautiful foxy eyes looked up at him with nothing but love and affection.

The omega's lips were plush, a little swollen from where he had probably bitten them earlier.

Sunghoon felt a sudden urge to kiss him deeply.

"Can I kiss you?"

Sunoo's eyes sparkled in anticipation as he whispered his answer.

"Yes. Always."
