Sunoo plopped down on the sofa, his body burning even though he had just taken a shower after yet another intense practice. There was only one week left until the performance and Heeseung was working them harder than ever.

It was insane how fast the past weeks had gone by and how quickly Christmas was approaching. His mother had called him just yesterday and asked him once again when he would come home. He had explained to her that the performance was on Christmas Eve and he wouldn't be able to go back home immediately after. Therefore, he would probably just go home on the 25th.

On the other hand, Sunoo wasn't really keen on going home as it meant leaving Sunghoon behind. The alpha had told him that he wasn't planning on going back to his parents' house for the holidays, and the omega didn't want him to be alone.

Sunoo's phone started vibrating and he checked the ID to see it was an incoming call from his grandmother. He picked up immediately.

"Hi grandma!"

"Hello Sunoo, my dear! How are you?"
"Ah, I'm fine so far."

"That doesn't sound very enthusiastic?"

Sunoo sighed, if there was one person he could never deceive, it was his grandmother.

"What's going on, Suni?"

The omega smiled upon hearing the nickname his grandmother used for him since he was little.

"I think my heat is coming up, but next week is the performance and on top of that it's Christmas and mom and dad want me home. It's just all so much and really bad timing."
"Oh, sweetie! Would it even be possible for you to stay at university during your heat? Isn't home much safer in this kind of time than the university?"

"Yes, it probably would be safer, but..."

His thoughts flashed to Sunghoon and he felt a deep longing spark up inside of him. He missed the alpha. When was he coming back? Wasn't it already past the time when he usually returned?
He felt himself becoming whiney and huffed a deep breath - his heat was definitely coming closer. Being whiney was a side effect of the heat, just like his heightened temperature and the desire to be touched.

"But what?"

"Ah, uhm, nothing."

He hadn't told his family about Sunghoon, only Niki and Jungwon knew about their relationship. Sunghoon hadn't told his friends, either, although Jay clearly suspected something. They just wanted to keep it private for now.

"Hm."

It was evident that his grandmother didn't believe him, but she was also a kind person and didn't press any further.

"You know you can always talk to me, right? Just stay safe!"

"I will. And I'm not alone."

"I thought so. So, remember, stay safe!"

His grandmother chuckled and Sunoo felt his ears turn red as he caught up on what his grandmother was referring to.

"Grandma!"

Her melodious laugh rang through the speaker of his phone.

The sound of the door made Sunoo turn around and his heart did a summersault when his eyes landed on Sunghoon, who had just stepped in. His nose filled with the alpha's delicious scent and he felt a tingle run down his spine.

He exhaled blissfully.

Sunghoon gave him a little wave and a happy grin, before he started to take off his shoes.
