~ 3 weeks later ~

"I can't believe that the first four weeks of the semester are already over. Just one more week and fall break starts!"

Sunoo nodded along to Jungwon's words. It was Friday after classes and they were sitting at their usual cafe at M campus, waiting for Niki to arrive at their weekly friending time, as they called it - a mixture of friends and bonding.

They used those moments to talk freely with each other about everything that they needed to share, but couldn't otherwise. Each time when they were talking over the phone they had to make sure that no one listened in. This cafe was usually empty, more popular places around had pulled the customers away, so it was the perfect spot to meet up.

However, Sunoo was sure they had to find some place outside of campus soon. The chances of someone from university overhearing their secrets were considerably smaller off-campus.

"What about," Jungwon started, taking a quick look around to make sure no one was close enough to listen, "your heat?"

Sunoo shot one hand out and covered the omega's mouth quickly.

"Shush! Don't say the word. Let's call it... circumstances."

Jungwon nodded and Sunoo pulled back his hand.

"It's supposed to start Thursday next week. It's perfect, actually. I don't even have to come up with an excuse why I miss classes. And Sunghoon won't be back until Sunday. He's going home for the break."

A grin appeared on Jungwon's face.

"You and your Sunghoonie - you get along well, don't you?"

Sunoo smiled and nodded.

"Yup, he's really kind and respectful. I mean, I get how he got the image of a cold and unapproachable alpha, but I feel that in reality he's a softie. Don't tell him I said that, though."

"Tell whom what?"

They jumped up a little at the sudden voice. It was Niki, who had suddenly appeared.

They both let out a relieved sigh.

"We were talking about Sunghoon," Sunoo explained.

Niki pulled a face and the older had to hold himself back to not roll his eyes. Niki's hatred for his roommate was getting ridiculous. Besides, it was ungrounded.

"How are you, Niki? Excited for the break?"

Jungwon asked the youngest to start a new topic. Niki was really not fond of Sunghoon and so Sunoo and Jungwon always tried to not talk about him when the youngest was around.

Niki slumped down on a chair, pouting.

"Not really. My dad just called me and asked me to come help at the restaurant. There will be a wedding and he needs everyone to help. And I was so excited to spend the break with you guys. We could have gone out to the city, check out some cool places around Seoul."

He put his head on the table huffing in annoyance.

Sunoo patted his back from one side, while Jungwon tousled his hair affectionately.

"That sucks! Should we come with you?"

Niki looked up at Sunoo's suggestion.

"That would be great! But dad especially said to not bother you guys with it. He doesn't want you two sweethearts to steal the bride's show. His words, not mine."

Jungwon and Sunoo giggled, Niki's dad had always been a huge fan of them.

Niki sat up again, letting out a depleted sigh.
