"I can't believe Morgan threw a chair off a balcony," Mandy says as we came home.
"Girls are you alright? What happened?" Dad asks as he has a worried look on his face.
"Something happened with Morgan and I have to go pick him up," I told my dad.
"The man threw a chair off a balcony," Mandy chuckles. "Near cops too."
"Oh jeez," dad says and face palms himself.
"He's ok Dad," I said.
"Good. One of the cops said that he done it. He was a little tipsy. But it's cute of you to go pick him up," Dad winks at me.
I rolled my eyes.
While I waited for someone to call me to go pick up Morgan, I decided to go take a shower and put on some fresh clothes.
"It's cute of you to bail him out," Mandy says as I laid on my bed. "You two should be a couple."
"Hell no," I said in a serious tone.
"Why not?"
"Because me and him-we just-"
"It's awkward because you two dated somewhat or was supposed to date then he got a girlfriend and it would've been weird because you two grew up together?" Mandy finishes my sentence.
I nodded.
"Well, your a little younger than Morgan," she winks at me. "Like three years younger so give it a try."
"Mandy you don't understand. Me and Morgan aren't that close and he cheated on me."
"YOU ACTUALLY DATED HIM?"
"Not that long anyways. I mean we just-we just agreed we'd be friends and we ain tell no one."
"But you dated the Morgan Wallen."
"We had a long distance relationship in high school. One of his friends told me that he was dating another female and it was just a whole big mess."
"So like...it's just been awkward?"
I nodded. I haven't even spoke to Morgan or even talked to my parents about what happened. They knew me and Morgan were talking and we liked each other, but he cheated on me and now when I face him, he acts like nothing happened. I was hurt for a long time, I knew we were teenagers and dumb but I still had feelings.
"I mean we're cool, we just...don't talk," I said.
"Orrrr you love him?" She playfully nudged me.
I didn't know what to think about this to be honest. Do I love Morgan? Or do I like him? I mean it was my first day in Tennessee. So I guess I'll see how this plays out.
I finally got the phone call to come pick Morgan up. I grabbed my keys and went to the jail where he was being held.

"Who ya here for?" An officer says at the front desk.
"Morgan Wallen," I said.
"Whew! A Wallen boy. That famous country singer, he got a pretty good record," the officer says.
He slides me the clipboard and I signed my name.
I walk back out to my car and waited for Morgan. I thought to myself, why was I doing this? Why was I even here?
Morgan walked out and had a confused expression on his face. He started walking towards me, the more he got closer the more I could see his face.
"What are you doing here?" He asks me.
"Picking you up," I said and crossed my arms.
"Oh," he chuckled and scratches the back of his head.
"Oh? So no thank you?" I said.
"Thank you Alyssa, seriously," he said.
We just stood in awkward silence for a minute.
"Why have you been so awkward around me?" He asked. "Am I too famous for ya?"
"No," I laughed a little. "You're just Morgan."
"Just Morgan huh?" He laughed a little.
"I mean, we don't talk."
"Every time I try to talk to you, you act like you  can't talk to me."
"Because of what you did Morgan."
"What the hell I did?" He raised his voice a little.
"You know what you did," I scoffed.
Morgan looked up at the sky and thought about it for a moment.
"Oh shit," he muttered to himself. "You still remember that?"
"Yes of course Morgan. You know I was hurt. You knew I was. Do you know what it felt like getting a text that says hey your 'boyfriends cheating on you with some blonde chick' while your in the middle of school."
"Oh shit. Alyssa-"
"And you didn't even make it known we were dating."
"Because Alyssa you-"
"IM NOT YOUR FUCKING TYPE MORGAN? HUN? YOU WERE ASHAMED OF ME?" I screamed.
I realized what I've just done and felt my face get hot and tears streaming down my face.
We both looked at each other and I didn't even realize Morgan was hugging me.
I wanted to punch him and hit him but for some reason I couldn't. His hug comforted me.
He smelt nice. Like cheap cologne.
"Lyss I'm sorry, I seriously am," he said in a soothing voice.
