"My names Indigo," Indigo. "Do you know my dad?"
The boy was so freaking cute! He seriously was.
"Me and him used to be friends," I said.
"Are you still friends with him?" He asked me shyly.
"Of course! We just...haven't talked over the years."
"Why?"
"I've moved away and I came back. Your daddy's so famous he probably thought I was a crazy fan."
Indigo laughed a little. His laughter was so cute.
"You're not crazy my daddy's the one who's crazy," he said.
We both laughed a little. Me and Indigo chatted a little bit until Morgan came downstairs.
"Indigo how ya liking my friend bud?" Morgan's asks as he sat beside me.
"She's nice and pretty," Indigo says.
I was in awe. Indigo was laying on me and playing with my hair and fingers.
"He's not normally like this with new people," Morgan says. "Normally he's shy."
"Maybe he likes me more," I laughed.
"So you wanna watch a movie or sum?" He asked me.
"We can, it doesn't matter," I said. "Not scary though live in the middle of fuc- I meant nowhere."
I can't believe I cursed in front of a kid. Morgan shook his head at me and chuckled.
"Alright no scary movies," he said.
"Can I watch the movie with yall?" Indigo asks.
"No buddy we might watch a grown up movie," Morgan says.
Indigo frowned and did a "hmph" noise.
"Indigo if you'd like we can watch whatever you feel like watching," I said.
His eyes lit up like a Christmas tree and he had a smile on his face.
"Really?" He said joyfully.
I nodded my head yes.
"Jeez I gotta feelin' you gon spoil him," Morgan says rolling his eyes.
Indigo picked out the movie Ratatouille and was laying on me the whole time. Morgan was closer to me on the couch and put his arm behind my head. The movie was finally over but Indigo was already asleep.
"He's sleep," I whispered to Morgan.
"I'll take him up," he whispers back.
He carefully took Indigo from my arms and carried him upstairs. After a few minutes later he came back down and sat beside me.
"He seems to take a liking to you," Morgan says.
"Well I'm good with kids," I said.
"Remember you used to want to be a teacher? You and Ashlyne would play all the time. She'd let you be the teacher," he said. "Why'd you stop?"
"Teachers make shit money. If I did go into teaching I'd be a kindergarten teacher."
"Makes sense," he said.
Then that awkward silence fell. I stared at the TV which was showing random videos and previews of the next movie.
But slowly, it was more of a comfortable silence. I didn't feel weird or awkward.
"Morgan," I said.
"Hm?" He said without making eye contact with me.
"Why'd you kinda cheat on me?" I asked.
Jeez Alyssa you're always asking some bullshitted ass questions. Morgan's only response was to shrug.
"I dunno," he said. "I didn't have much of a choice. I mean Alyssa if you think about it we weren't dating much. You'd come every other weekend, you'd come on holidays. I just wanted to see you a lot."
"You're not getting to the point Morgan," I said in a stern tone.
I sat up and I was now facing him.
"Alyssa I loved you. And when I got famous I didn't forget about you. But me and KT were tryna figure our shit out. She was beside me and you were far away."
"So you're saying is Morgan and let me be clear, and dumb it down for you, you couldn't see yourself with me because I'm?"
"No no it's nothin' like that Lyss I swear."
Morgan was sweating his ass off. Morgan knew deep down inside he loved me but had another love on the side which wasn't me. Morgan didn't have an idea of loving me or being with me. He never had and never will. Why the fuck did I even come here in the first place.
"You sure Morgan?" I said.
"Yes Lyss. I'm sure," he said.
Morgan wiped his face off and sighed heavily sighs.
"You're a pain in the ass Curly Sue," Morgan chuckles.
"Of course," I said. "Might be a celebrities worst nightmare."
He laughs a little and cuts the TV off.
"I have a TV upstairs. I hate being downstairs sometimes," he said.
"Umm no?" I said and get up.
"I swear I won't do nothing Lyss," Morgan says. "Scouts honor."
I finally gave in and Morgan lead me upstairs. He lead me to his room and I sat on his comfortable bed. His bed was just...so soft.
"Your beds amazing," I said and laid down on it.
"I know the ladies love it," he says wiggling his eyebrows.
I rolled my eyes and playfully hit him in his shoulder. I didn't realize Morgan was laying down beside me. I didn't scoot away or anything.
"You look pretty Lyss," Morgan says stroking my hair.
"Thanks," I said softly.
My emotions were all over the place. I didn't care if we were like this, I felt good being around Morgan FOR RIGHT NOW.
"Would you ever try again with me?" He asked.
"Depends," I said and closed my eyes.
He softly laughed. I didn't even realize I was already sleep. I couldn't even believe I was in the middle of nowhere in a cabin mansion asleep in Morgan Wallen's bed.
