chapter 15

A couple months went by and Morgan started touring on the East coast. Morgan made our relationship public and we got alot of supportive feedback but some were mad that I was dating him.
After Morgan got done with his touring he became...different.
Me and KT hung out a lot so I could go see Indigo. Mandy's been dating my brother Malik which is good because she might become my sister in law soon.
Morgan and I have been arguing more than usual, he comes home late drunk and takes shit out on me.
"Maybe he's stressed," Zach says as he swirls around his drink. "You know, I was like that when I got back from touring. I was mean as hell."
"But Zach he was like this before he started touring," I said. "Morgan came home real late last night and tried starting shit with me."
"Well...you know how men are."
"Like he's being a little bitch about everything. Like when he's away I try to take care of Indigo."
"Well you're doing a nice gesture for Morgan by taking care of his kid but sometimes Alyssa it ain't your business or responsibility."
"Yeah you're right," I said.
"It might be the beer that's right," he jokes. "But don't get bummed out about it. This happens all the time in relationships."
I looked around the bar and saw people dancing. Mandy was supposed to be here but I guess she was off with Malik somewhere.
"I might go over there tonight," I said. "Don't feel like I'm not really in a drinking mood."
"Come on you promised that we would hang together," he said. "As friends because your boyfriend's going to be pissed."
"I don't see why you two don't like each other," I said. "I could've invited him and we could've had a good time."
"Yeahhhh no."
We both laughed and talked about random things.
"So while we're talking about my boyfriend, don't you have a girlfriend?" I asked Zach.
He looked down in his beer and started swirling it around.
"I think," he laughs a little. "She vistin' her momma out west and I haven't heard back from her since."
"Maybe she's gone in the wind," I said.
"Nah," he says shaking his head. "Maybe she doesn't want me anymore."
"Well Zach give her a call," I said.
He let out a long sigh and looked around the bar.
"Imma buy another beer and I'm done for the night," he says getting up. "Want anything?"
I shook my head no and Zach slightly stumbled towards the bar a little. That man was too damn drunk to even function.
I looked around the bar and saw a lot of people here. I was bored out my mind and wanted to go home.
I felt someone tap on my shoulder and I turned around to see it was Morgan's friend Hardy.
"Hey!" I said and gave him a hug.
"You ain here with Morgan?" He asks me.
"No I'm here Zach," I said. "Where is Morgan tonight?"
"Um.." Hardy looked around the bar acting like he didn't want to answer my question.
"Maybe at another bar I think. He's doing a lot of bar hopping tonight."
I just nodded my head and Zach stumbled back to the table.
"What's up Hardy," Zach slurs his words.
"Hey," Hardy says giving Zach a small wave.
"Hey Alyssa I'm not going home anytime soon," Zach says.
"Hey you can ride with me if that's ok," Hardy offers.
"Sure why not?" I said and left with Hardy.

The truck ride was silence. I didn't even know Hardy that well but I knew he was Morgan's friend.
"So what's up with Morgan?" I asked him.
"Stressed," Hardy says. "You know trying to make new albums and touring, management down his neck so."
"Mhm," I said.
I felt like Hardy knew something I didn't know about Morgan. I knew something was up.
We finally stopped at Morgan's house and I saw his truck wasn't in the driveway. I got out the car, thanked Hardy for the ride and went inside the house since I had a key.
I walked inside and sat on the couch until Morgan got here. I had to be at work the next day and I was willing to wait until he got here.
It was already one AM and Morgan still hasn't showed up. I knew something was up. I had this gut feeling to check my phone and social media.
I opened up Instagram and saw a picture Morgan walking out of a bar with some blonde girl and another picture showing he was kissing another girl.

My heart dropped to my stomach. I felt like I was about to throw up all over myself and felt tears forming in my eyes. I dropped my phone and just sat there in shock.
I heard Keyes jingle and the door open. I saw Morgan and he just sighed.
"Baby look-"
"Don't fucking baby me Morgan," I said reading my voice and getting up and standing in front of me. "You come home all drunk and you do this shit to me?"
"Alyssa," he said in calming voice. "I can explain."
"Morgan are you fucking serious? You want to throw away everything we had together and cheat on me? Are you fucking crazy?"
I was now screaming and yelling at him and he just stood there. I jabbed my finger in his chest as he hung his head in shame.
"I'm sorry," was all he could say.
Sorry? Yeah you're a sorry bitch alright.
"If you were fucking sorry Morgan you wouldn't have done it," I said.
I was bawling my eyes out and Morgan pulled me into a hug. I pushed him off of me and started hitting his chest. He grabbed my arms and I was still trying to fight him.
"Alyssa calm down," he says.
"Me fucking calm? YOU CHEATED ON ME." I screamed.
Morgan let go of me and I felt my chest was heaving and I couldn't breathe.
"I fucking hate you Morgan," I said. "We're fucking done.
