The day everyone was dreading was finally here , the pack bond was filled with anxiety, worry and sadness, the last of the pack was already escorted to the underground bunks, while some of the wolf that were going with us were already shifted and ready to go , the hardest part so far is saying good bye to my pups, the fact that they can lose both parents or the fact that this might be the last time I see them , hold them or even smell them is really bothering me , I was sitting in my bathroom, I felt my throat constrict and I know what would be next , but I can't do this now, I have to be strong for myself , my mate , my pups and my pack , I dug my nail into my hand and started counting , I was able to get to 20 before I felt my breathing start to get under control , I got up washed my tear stain face befor making my way downstairs, where Evie and Kace held both pups, little Love was sitting at the table eating breakfast, while Kason was still in his stroller, when Evie eyes connected with me she gave me a small smile , I guess trying to reassure me ,
"Come eat Natalia , she said , before putting Alex back into his bassinet and making her way into the kitchen, I followed behind her like a lost puppy ,
"It's going to be okay , I'll protect them with my life she said while squeezing my hand
"I know you will, I'm just worried about what if Kylo and I don't make it back, if that happens please Evie let them know much we loved them every day, tears now burn the back of my eyes
"I know you'll make it back , I know my son and I know he'll do everything to make sure you make it back here, even if it means sacrificing himself to make sure his Luna lives , but if it will make you feel better I promise if neither of you make it back , I'll tell them about the awesome parents they had, how loved they were and show them pictures of you guys,I'll make sure you'll aren't forgotten, she send before pulling me into a hug , something in that hug broke the last of my resolve and tears started flowing, I don't know how long we stood there in the kitchen like that,or when Kylo came home , but I felt his touch when the sparks of the mate bond surge through me , he pulled me into his arms and we both hugged each other
"Baby it's going to be okay , we're going to come back home to our pups and family he said
"Please Kylo if it comes to it save yourself and not me, if I lose you I don't think mental I'll be able to be a good mother to the pups , where I know you're strong enough to mentally put your grieving aside and still be an amazing father
"You think so he asked , you must really not know the control you have over me , but if it come to it I'm saying you he said with finality and I knew this conversation was over, he pulled out of the hug, caressed my cheek then told me it's was time to bring the pups to the underground bunk, I placed the pups into the twin stroller, the Queen got them when they were born , she insisted on buying it and I gave in, it was a jogger stroller so I can go jogging with the twins, when I checked the price online I saw it was almost $800, it was beautiful and sturdy, it was similar to the one I wanted to buy , just a little more expensive,Kylo and Kace had already brought the twins bassinets and necessities to the bunks this morning, all that was left we're there milk, walking to the underground bunks felt was filled with tension, no one spoke Kylo was next to me bringing the bag with the milk for the twin and Kason and a bag filled with snacks for Love , Kace and Evie walked behind us one pushing Kason in his stroller while the other held Love's hand with no readable emotions on their faces, once the door to the bunk Became visible, I felt my heart start to ache , I felt Kylo's emotions as well through the bond it was pure anger, anger for Robert and his friends ,we greeted the guard standing at the door before pushing the stroller inside, followed by the others , this was my first time inside the bunk, it was amazing and nothing as I expected, it was the exact replica of the pack house just under ground , Kylo took the lead , leading us to a room that read Luna and pups , he opened the door and inside wasn't as big as our room at home , but it was cozy and clean , the pups bassinets were already set up, also a third one was set up for Kason in one corner of the room in the other corner was a small Barbie bed for Love , in the adjoining room, was queen size bed which I'm assumed would have been for me if I wasn't going to this war , but now it's for Evie and Kace ,we finished setting everything up , I tried to make this moment be a happy one , Mason and Kayla was now here as well to say good bye to their pup, Mason held Kason in one arm while he held Kayla in the other , I could see she was doing exactly as I was, putting on a strong front and holding back the tears that were threatening to fall, I played with the twins small hand while Kylo, stood there looking at them with Love in his arms, his eyes glazed over and he said guys it's time, we both kissed the twins, before kissing Love and telling her we had to go to work and we will be back, her tiny hugs were filled with so much warmth and affection, I hugged Evie and told her to remember her promise causing Kylo to look at us with a raised eyebrow, we reluctantly left the room, the walk out of the bunch was filled with silence, Kylo held my hand as we walked ,Mason held a crying Kayla in his arms and Kace was just walking quietly behind us , he was now acting Alpha so he had to close the door to the bunk , Candace was the only one who could open the door from inside, it should have been Evie but she had her hands full with the pups , Candace was the delta female so she stayed back to make that her contribution to the war , once we were outside , I took one last look inside the bunk where my pups were before Kace closed the door, the warriors were all shifted and ready , I took a deep breath, pushing my motherhood emotions aside and pulling forth my Luna ones ,
"Mia are you ready I asked my wolf
"I am definitely ready to make those fuckers pay
Mason and Kayla was already shifted and in formation, now it was my turn , I pulled my wolf forward allowing her some control to shift , my bones snapped and relocated and soon I had paws instead of hands and feet and snout on my face , I was filled with white fur that also looked close to silver, I was now standing on all four with a massive black wolf with amber eyes next to me , we stood in front with Kayla on the side next to me and Mason on the side next to Kylo, Kaiden directly behind Kylo while Amaris was directly behind me , with Shawn next to Kaiden and Lesley next to Amaris , Josh and the medical team was behind them with the rest of warriors we all wore the bag packs Amaris and I used magic to create , it was flexible and didn't break when we shifted , it had food and first aid supplies even though we had a medical team , Kylo started walking and we all followed, we would meet up with the other packs 5 miles before our first destination, we were running for a few hours when we finally met up with the rest of packs , I could smell Nate's pack after all that was the pack I grew up in ,I sorted out my brother and once I spotted his black and white wolf I made my way to him and using my wolf tongue to slob all over his jaw causing him to nip my ears, our wolves played for a little before it was time to continue our journey so I took my place back next to Axel, Axel nuzzled my neck as soon as stood next to him, then I heard Kylo's voice in my head ,
"I love you Natalia and don't you ever forget it
"I love you too Kylo Alex knight and you better make it out of this war alive so we can get married and have more pups
This caused us both to chuckle , the king and his royal guards were also here , however the Queen wasn't , she wasn't allowed to go to war , she has to stay back to take care of the pack , as I should also be doing , but this was my destiny, this was the reason I was born to bring justice for the pups and she-wolves , Janice wasn't here neither was Leslie , so I was the only Luna here , the king spoke through the mind link
"We have buses parked 1 mile from the warehouse were about to attack , once we get there we need to save as much as pups and she-wolves as possible while killing the enemies, the buses will be outside once we start attacking , load the rescues on them, everyone ready ? Let's go , and with that we were off again, in no time we were all standing in front the dirty looking building,the paint was peeling , the windows and doors were covered with board, it had a eerie aura coming from it , the king gave the order and his guards were the first to attack , followed by Hunter's pack, based on what I saw they had this handled so the rest of worked on rescuing the pups and wolves , Kylo mind link me telling me to be careful before we both went into different directions, the first cell I came up to had a groups of she-wolves and a pup , they all looked scared , so I lowered by body, showing them I wasn't a threat , I used my magic to open the door I then used my head to signal for them to follow me , they soon realized we were here to rescue them and they started helping as well to grab pups and other she-wolves , we soon made it out the building where the guards in charge of the bus were still in human form, they lead the rescued wolves to the buses, this went on for about 30 minutes before everyone as rescued and loaded on the bus , once the buses drove off ,and the injured wolves were treated by the medical team, I sent a bolt of fire into the building setting it on fire , everyone look at me but said nothing , most of us had shifted back to our human form and naked , nudity to wolves were a natural thing, Kylo being naked however, stirred other emotions inside of me, emotions that were meant for our bedroom, I blushed when his naked body approached me, and I saw the unmated she-wolves from other packs also did the same before they averted their eyes , so I used my magic powers to created a shorts around him as I did myself earlier,
"Really babe , Kylo said before ruffling my hair , we receded into the woods, where we walked until we found a nice spot to rest and eat, we all sat quietly eating until Mason spoke
"Damn Amaris I ain't know you were such a bad ass , everyone bursted out laughing at his random outburst, but that's Mason for you
"Well Mason I had to train everyday , twice a day, the moon Goddess instructed my parents I needed to be a strong wolf to run along side my Luna , she said while looking at me with admiration
"And you're doing a great job I said to her, you're Luna is extremely proud of you, the rest of the conversation was us roasting each other , well mostly Kaiden and Mason , Shawn, kylo and Josh would join in every now and again to talk shit
The king soon announced it was time to go to our other spot , and this one I was having mixed feelings about, we were heading to the hospital, I don't know how I would feel being back here, Kylo must have felt my emotions through the bond because he was already next to me whispering words of encouragement in my ears, because this was closer to human town we decided on staying in human form , so everyone was now dressed in shorts and t shirt , some in shorts only.
Once we made it to the hospital building, I took my time to look at it, this was the first time I was seeing the building as most of my time spent here I was sedated and locked in my room, the building was tall and painted in white with glass windows all around it , the outsiders would think is a regular hospital building that treated and helped others to get better , but that was far from the truth , inside this building was a hell hole , one that stole joy , and crippled emotions, I couldn't wait to set it on fire , seeing that Kylo was familiar with this building, apparently he got a whole tour form Robert when he was trying to find me , the king told him to lead.
