Blade takes the spot beside Simon. Her attention was divided to Simon, Sab and Garen. Her hand and his intertwined, secretly gave support for each other. His eyes gleam with worry and trust but Blade gave him a reassuring squeeze in his hand.
Simon's fingers tightened around Blade's for a brief moment, his touch conveying what his masked face couldn't. He leaned in slightly, his voice low and gruff.
"Keep your wits about you out there," he murmured, his hoarse voice thickening with concern. "I'll be watching your six from up high."
Ross shifted uncomfortably in front of them, his large frame barely fitting in the cramped transport. His eyes darted between Simon and Blade, a mix of curiosity and nervousness flicker in his gaze.
As the vehicle rumbled to life, Simon reluctantly released Blade's hand. His posture stiffening as he slipped back into his professional demeanor. The air in the transport was thick with tension and anticipation for their mission. The team bracing themselves for the challenges that lay ahead.
As the transport vehicle moves, Blade closed her eyes bracing herself for the unexpected might happened to the mission. She never entrusted her safety to any of her team than her three trusted friends Sab, Garen and Simon. But she made sure she would never let any of them down.
Guiding the newbies in a mission is challenging. They will face the hardship and traumatizing spectacles of unwanted actions of being in a special operations task force, Sigma. In this job, their chest and stomach should be ready to witness the gruesome events ahead.
She was well prepared for the mission and is looking forward to crushing her enemies in no time.
As the transport vehicle rumbled towards their destination, the tension inside was palpable. Simon's eyes remained fixed on Blade, his posture taut with unspoken concern. Ross observed nervously. His frame almost too large for the confined space.
The vehicle suddenly jolted to a stop, and Captain Anthony's voice crackled over the comms. "We're approaching the drop zone. Final equipment check, people. This is our only shot at this intel."
Simon leaned in close to Blade, his voice low and gravelly. "Remember, I've got eyes on you from up high. Don't take any unnecessary risks." His hand briefly brushed against hers, a fleeting gesture of support.
Ross, Sab and Garen and the others took a deep breath, steeling themselves. "Ready when you are, Fräulein Blade," he said, his German accent thick with determination.
As the transport's doors swung open, revealing the dark, unfamiliar terrain ahead, the team prepared to move out. The mission was about to begin in earnest.
Blade scanned the surroundings upon their arrival to the drop zone. She intentionally brushed her arm on Simon with their fingers touching each other's. Before she slipped back to her usual alert form, "I know. Be careful too..." she whispered upon Simon's ears barely noticeable by the others.
Simon nodded imperceptibly at Blade's whispered words, his eyes conveying a mix of concern and trust behind his tactical mask.
If only he could pull Blade close in his arms, he would do it. By this moment, he already missed her and wanted to lock her in his arms to keep her away from this danger. But they need to focus on their mission. He knew Blade's capability well. Her presence itself were a dangerous weapon.
As the team prepared to move out, he gave her one last meaningful look before heading to his overwatch position.
Ross fell in step beside Blade, his massive frame tense with anticipation. "What's the plan, Fräulein Blade?" he asked softly.
The darkness enveloped them as they moved silently towards their objective. In the distance, the faint outline of a compound could be seen, heavily guarded and shrouded in secrecy.
Blade's instincts were on high alert, her senses attuned to every rustle and shadow. The weight of leadership and the mission's importance pressed upon her as she led her team forward, Simon's watchful gaze following their progress from above.
Blade led the team towards the direction of their enemy's location full of determination. When she came into halt. She face the members and remove her gear. Unzipping her tactical gear only to reveal her black overall inside; equipped with knives and a gun. Her curve figure accentuated by the black attire as her presence blended into the darkness. Like a stealth assassin-flexibly hiding in the shadows.
