starr had just finished getting un-ready for the day's shoot when she heard a knock on her trailer door. she opened it to find dylan standing there, grinning from ear to ear, his hands shoved casually into the pockets of his jeans.

"dylan?" starr exclaimed, genuinely surprised. she hadn't expected to see him today—or any day on set, for that matter.

"surprise!" dylan said, his grin widening. "thought i'd drop by and see what the big fuss is all about."

starr laughed, stepping aside to let him in. "you could've given me a heads-up, you know."

"where's the fun in that?" he teased, leaning in for a quick hug. as he pulled back, he gave her a once-over. "you look great, by the way."

"thanks," she said, feeling a slight flush of warmth. "it's just for the role."

"yeah, well, it suits you," dylan replied, his voice carrying a hint of something more. but before starr could dwell on it, another knock sounded at the door, and she turned to see mason standing there, his expression neutral.

"hey, mason," starr greeted, trying to ignore the sudden flutter in her chest. "you remember dylan, right?"

"of course," mason said, his voice friendly but a little too smooth. "whats up?"

"just thought i'd surprise starr with a visit. figured i'd get a tour of the place while i'm at it," dylan said, still smiling.

mason's eyes flickered briefly, but he kept his tone light. "a tour, huh? i'd be happy to tag along. the studio can be a bit of a maze if you don't know your way around."

starr looked between them, sensing something off, but before she could say anything, dylan nodded. "sure, the more the merrier."

as they headed out, mason stayed close to starr's side, almost like a shadow. he pointed out various sets and stages, but whenever dylan tried to get closer to starr, mason would subtly shift positions, placing himself between them.
