Kieran's gaze softened, a slight relaxation of his shoulders. But still, he said nothing.

As lila asked about his past, he could sense the genuine concern in her voice. She wasn't just asking out of curiosity, but because she cared. And that realization made his chest tighten, just a little.

He thought of lila like a little sister, who always tried to look out for everyone.

And in that moment, he wanted to open up to her, to tell her everything. But the words got stuck in his throat, like they always did.

He knew she was worried about him, that she saw the scars on his body and wondered about the ones on his soul. And he wanted to reassure her, to tell her that he was okay, that he had learned to live with his demons.

But the silence was easier, a familiar shield that he hid behind. So he just nodded, a slight movement, and kept his eyes on the laptop screen.

Lila didn't pushed, didn't try to pry. She just sat there beside him, her presence a quiet comfort. And he was grateful for that, for her understanding.

As they sat there, the tension between them dissipated, replaced by a sense of calm. And he realized that sometimes, it's not the words that matter, but the silence, the understanding, the presence of someone who cares.

Ryker's expression remained stoic as they drove away from the warehouse. He had planted the bomb, but Roger Kâzz hadn't been there. It was a minor setback, but Ryker wasn't one to show emotion.

But when the warehouse erupted in a ball of flames, Ryker's eyes narrowed slightly. "Good," he said, his voice low and gravelly. "At least that's one less place for him to hide."

Asher exchanged a look with him, but said nothing. He knew better than to try to get a reaction out of Ryker.

As they drove further away from the warehouse, Ryker's mind was already turning to the next move. He knew that Roger kâzz would retaliate, and he needed to be ready.

"We need to increase security," Ryker said, his voice firm. "He'll try to strike back, and we need to be prepared."

Asher nodded, his eyes scanning the road ahead. "Already on it, buddy"

Ryker's expression didn't changed, but a small nod acknowledged Asher's response. He was already thinking several steps ahead, his mind working overtime to stay one step ahead of Roger kâzz.

As they reached castle, Lila and Kieran stood at the door waiting for them. Lila scanned Ryker up and down as he came inside, breathing the sigh of relief as he wasn't hurt.

Ryker looked at her and his eyes softened, she looked so vulnerable, so small. He had to get her old self back.
And he will.

"Everything oky?", Kieran asked them.

Ryker nodded at him, without taking his eyes of her. Asher and Kieran noticed and tried to hide their smile.

"Guess we are off for tonight", Asher said with a laugh, looking at Kieran.
Kieran nodded at him and they both went home.

Ryker looked at Lila from up and down, smiling a little at her. Lila's cheecks flushed and her heart swelled with warmth. Lila walked up to him and kissed him softly. Her heart fluttering, butterflies dancing in her stomach.

Ryker let her kiss him, before moving his lips in contrast with her. Ryker wrapped his one hand around her neck and break the kiss.

"Ryker," she said, her voice husky. "I need you."

He raised an eyebrow, but didn't say a word. He knew what she wanted.

"Make love to me," she said, her eyes locked on his. "Make me forget everything that's happened in the last 24 hours."

Ryker's gaze burned with desire. He knew exactly what she needed. He swept her into his arms, his lips crashing down on hers in a kiss that left her breathless.

He kissed her hard making her lips bruised as she felt her stomach tighten in excitement.

As they stumbled towards the bedroom, Ryker's hands were already stripping away her clothes, revealing the soft, vulnerable skin beneath. Lila moaned, her body arching into his touch.

"Make me forget," she whispered, her voice urgent.

Ryker undressed himself and prepped her body with soft kisses as he removed her panties. He palmed her ass and bite her neck.

Ryker's eyes blazed with passion as he lined himself with her entrance, he drove into her, his movements fierce and possessive. Lila's cries of pleasure were music to his ears, her body trembling beneath him.

With each thrust Lila bounced back but his hold kept her right there. They both looked in eachother's eyes, with passion, as her heart screamed one thing.

I love you

I love you

I love you....

Lila came undone around his girth, with a scream as she threw her head back. Ryker came behind her, filling her again.

For a few fleeting moments, they forgot about the danger, the violence, the fear. All that mattered was the love they shared, the passion that burned between them like a wildfire.

As the passion subsided, Ryker gently lifted Lila into his arms, cradling her like a precious treasure. He carried her to the shower, where warm water cascaded down, enveloping them in a soothing embrace. Ryker tenderly washed away the remnants of the day's turmoil, his hands massaging, comforting, and reassuring.

Afterward, he wrapped Lila in a plush towel, drying her with gentle strokes. He dressed her in a soft, silky nightgown, his fingers brushing against her skin with a loving touch. Every movement was a testament to his devotion, a promise of protection and care.

Ryker guided Lila to the bed, pulling back the covers with a gentle whoosh. He tucked her in, his hands smoothing the sheets, ensuring her comfort. As he lay beside her, his arms enveloped her, holding her close.

"I'll keep you safe, Lila," Ryker whispered, his voice low, husky, and full of conviction. "No harm will ever come to you. I promise."

Lila's eyelids grew heavy, her breathing slowing as she nestled into Ryker's embrace. His words were a lullaby, a soothing balm to her frazzled nerves. As she drifted off to sleep, Ryker's promise was the last thing she heard, a reassuring echo in her mind.

In this peaceful scene, Ryker's love and protection wrapped around Lila like a shield, safeguarding her from the world's dangers. As they lay together, their hearts beat in harmony, a symphony of devotion and trust.

And he knew he will do anything and everything for her.

He would die for her,
He would kill for her!

SOO TO BE CONTINUE.....
