NOTE: RAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! I LIIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVEEEEEEEEE! I love this show with every fiber of my being, but oh my GOD, the first episode is so boring to write after a while. Now that I've finally made it past the pilot, I'm hoping I start to find my rhythm(which will probably involve skipping a few scenes/episodes because the first season is just 9 episodes of so much exposition & set up)

"Meeeeeeeeredith." Angie put on her brightest voice as she sidled up against the blonde surgeon, who was exiting the E.R. The woman in question only spared her an amused glance as she continued down the hall.
"Is there something I can help you with, Angie?" She asked casually, and Angie shrugged, slipping her hands into her lab coat pocket.
"Depends. You know how we've gotten super close on this shift and you enjoy being around me so much–"
"I met you less than 36 hours ago–"
"–And you're just desperate to spend more time with me on every shift ever?"
Meredith snorted, shooting Angie another look. "Get to the point or my answer is automatically 'no'."
Angie rolled her eyes, stepping in front of Meredith so the pair stopped in the halls. "The Katie Bryce case. It could be a massive win for an intern, and you've been on the case since she got here. What do I have to do to get a little bit of headway on this race?" Angie put on her best puppy dog eyes as she clasped her hands in front of Meredith.
The blonde stared at Angie for a long moment, then thought to herself before huffing. "You know what? I'll do you one better. You wanna work together?"
Angie paused, blinking in surprise at Meredith's words. "Wait, seriously? It's that easy? You don't wanna make me grovel at least a little bit?" she asked warily, and Meredith chuckled, nodding as the pair began walking again.
"It's that easy. No groveling necessary. I don't even want this case. I'd rather stay as far away from Der–Dr. Shepherd as I can." Meredith coughed slightly, trying to hide her slip up, and Angie couldn't stop the laugh that slipped out.
"Yeah, I don't blame you. Derek can be one persistent little shit sometimes," she mumbled, brushing her hair out of her face. In an instant, both women stopped. Angie shut her eyes, cringing at her own ignorance as Meredith gaped at her, brows furrowed. The duo stood in silence for a minute before Meredith inhaled, sharp and nervous.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
"I...uh...nothing. Nothing at all." Clearing her throat awkwardly, Angie gave Meredith a brief, fake smile. "Hey, I am gonna go get started on the research. Split the workload, you know?" She turned on her heel, ready to stride off when Meredith seized her arm, harshly dragging her into the nearest supply closet and locking the door behind them.
Angie sighed in defeat as Meredith turned to her, arms folded across her chest as she glared expectantly. "What do you know?" she demanded. Angie hesitated, trying to remain as casual as possible while she shrugged aimlessly.
"I...I mean, I know the research library code is 9247. I-I know the cafeteria workers pretend to be all grumpy so people ignore them and they hear all the work drama, a-and that ER nurse, Renee, has a son in daycare and it's his birthday, so she made cupcakes for–"
"Angie, I swear to God..." Meredith ground out. Angie dropped her head in defeat, sighing heavily.
"Alright, alright. I...may have overheard you and Derek in the stairwell earlier. Talking about the whole one-night-stand-irresponsible relationship between an attending and an intern thing." Meredith shut her eyes, cursing quietly as she stepped away, running a hand down her face. "B-But I swear I won't tell anyone. Derek's an old friend, and I'd never hurt him. Plus, who you sleep with is none of my business. I'm just here for the surgery." Angie held up her hands in surrender. Meredith watched her warily, swaying gently on her feet.
