The door quietly behind them.
"Mahi" Sonu said softly his voice gentle but firm. "We need to talk."

Mahi looked up and his eyes were red and desperate. Seeing the papers in Yuvi's hands, fear flashed across his face.

Yuvi placed the reports on the bed, saying softly "we've got the reports."

Mahi's eyes widened, breath catching as he glanced at the documents.

As Mahi's fingers brushed against the papers, the room fell into a heavy silence. The weight of unspoken truths hung in the air, as four friends stood on the precipice of a revelation that would change everything.

The room was charged with tension the air stifling. Mahi stood with clenched fists unable to meet their eyes. Yuvi being impatient broke the silence.

"Mahi what's going on? Why do you want a death certificate of Rishi Mehta? who is Rishi Mehta?" His voice was sharp and demanding answers.

Sonu confused but composed stepped closer. "Why do you need the abortion report? What's the purpose of Goel calling us all here? What event are we being summoned for? What's really happening?"

Mahi remained silent, the truth was too painful to utter. Despite Chintu's sympathetic gaze, he remained frozen.

After what felt like an eternity, Mahi finally spoke, his voice low and burdened with guilt. "Goel invited you both... to my engagement.. with Prisha."

The words hung in the air, shattering the silence. Sonu and Yuvi stood frozen eyes wide in disbelief. Mahi is going to be engaged to Prisha.. the same woman who had once torn his heart apart?

Sonu asks softly "why do you need his abortion reports before the engagement? so that you can stop the engagement?"

Mahi nodded unable to look at them.

Yuvi's anger surged. "You've hidden so many things from us. Why didn't you tell us?" His voice was thick with frustration.

Mahi flinched, his fists clenched. The room felt suffocating with unspoken truths.

He met Yuvi's gaze and for a moment the room was charged with unspoken grief. Chintu watched, his sympathy evident but powerless.

Sonu asked urgently "who is Rishi Mehta? Is he connected to Prisha's accident and memory loss?" Mahi slumped onto the bed, shoulders sagging.

The room felt suffocating with tension. Mahi stared blankly ahead overwhelmed by the burden of the truth he had kept hidden.

Yuvi stepped closer, his frustration mixed with sympathy. "Did Rishi cause the accident at Goel's request.. like the abortion?"

Mahi's chest heaved, eyes red and teary flicking to Yuvi then back to the floor. His lips trembled breath hitching as if on the brink of breaking down.

Yuvi and Sonu exchanged concerned glances, their frustration now mixed with worry. They saw the pain etched in Mahi's face and knew they had to tread carefully.
