Mahi made his way towards the field his steps carrying him to the spot where their belongings were strewn about.

With a sense of urgency, he delved into his bag, his hands searching frantically for his phone. A pang of disappointment washed over him as he realized it was missing.

Turning to sonu who is standing nearby mahi's voice carried a hint of desperation. "give me your phone" he asked "I seem to have left mine back at the hotel."

Sonu's face twisted into a playful expression as he handed over his phone "what do you need a phone for anyway?" he teased "kabutar paal le ab aur usse hi contact kiya kar."

Mahi scoffed at a fake smile plastered on his face "maine ghar par kabutar paal ke rakhe hai, training dunga unhe aur phir unke through pehli chiththi tujhe hi bhejunga."

And these two erupted in laughter. 

Mahi dialed his friend's number and waited patiently as the phone rang replaced by his friend's cheerful voice "hey suresh" he greeted with a tone casual.

"Mai bol raha hoon" Mahi replied.

His friend's voice was filled with mock exasperation "paani me fek de apna phone, wo cell phone tere koi kaam ka nahi hai aree!! rakhta hi kyun hain phone ko jab use nahi karna hain toh!!!"

Mahi sighed, a chuckle escaping his lips "hogya tera.. ab bolu kaam ki baat."

"Haan haan.. boliye boliye" his friend replied.

"Ranchi ke best chole bhature leke aa" mahi requested "Hhmm... sabke liye le aana we're 15-16 people here, lunch break hai do ek ghante baad."

His friend paused a thoughtful expression crossing his face "yaar best kaha milenge pata nahi hain" sounding a bit unsure.

Mahi's tone grew more earnest "aree toh dhundh.. aur khud taste karke hi leke aana samjhha!!"

His friend protested playfully "yaar maahi..."

Mahi cut him off "arey arey kuch nahi chal ab jaldi jaa!"

After ending the call mahi tossed the phone back to sonu who caught it with a surprised look "are you serious?" sonu asked with eyebrows raised and mahi merely grinned.

An hour passed and the team paused their practice as lunchtime arrived.

The players congregated, their appetites awakened and conversations turning to meal choices.

Amidst the growing buzz of hungry chatter Mahi's reassuring voice rose above the din. "just a moment everyone.. the food will be here shortly."

Yuvi's eyes twinkled he turned to mahi "oh captain!! you are treating us today.?"

With a subtle smile mahi confirmed "yes.. I've arranged something a bit out of the ordinary for us."

The team's attention focused on mahi, their faces a mix of intrigue and anticipation. Suddenly a tantalizing scent wafted through the air.

"Your chole bhature delivery has arrived!" gaurav announced his voice filled with excitement. A wave of anticipation swept through the room.

Eyes lit up with delight as everyone turned their attention towards gaurav. The aroma of spicy chole bhature filled the air.
