The cool evening breeze swept across the lawn, rustling the leaves softly. Mahi's sharp voice cut through the silence that followed his explanation. His eyes were resolute, though the tension lingered.

Yuvi's eyes blazed with disbelief. "And you think this will stop him from being hurt? Don't you see how much this will affect him?" His voice was sharp laced with concern.

Mahi stood firm, though the weight of his words showed in his shoulders. "The pain now is far less than what he'd carry for life.. Yuvi.. he deserves a normal life."

Yuvi shook his head, frustration etched on his face. "You know this is foolishness! you're pushing him away without even giving him a choice.

Sonu sighed deeply his tone serious. "Mahi you're hurting both of you with this. Do you really think just telling him to move on will work? You know Virat better than that."

Mahi's jaw tightened as he looked away, staring into the darkening sky. "If not today.. then tomorrow.. Sonu. he'll have no choice but to move on from me."

Rahul watched silently, his gaze filled with quiet understanding. Meanwhile! Yuvi is visibly upset "you're so damn stubborn.. Mahi! Sacrificing your own happiness isn't noble!"

Mahi didn't reply, the turmoil on his face betraying his silence. Yuvi exchanged a glance with Sonu knowing there was no point in arguing further.

Sonu sighed, stepping forward and placing a hand on Mahi's shoulder. "We have to leave for our flight. Just! think about what we've said. Don't make this decision lightly."

Yuvi added "I can't stand to watch either of you suffer, yet you're creating a situation that will bring both of you a lot of heartache."

As Yuvi and Sonu hugged Mahi and Rahul and they left, the silence they left behind was heavy.

Rahul stepped closer. After a pause! he spoke softly "you're doing what you think is best.. but sometimes the person we're protecting knows what's best for themselves."

Mahi remained stoic, though the conflict within him was clear.

Rahul turned to Mahi, concern and determination evident on his face. "Virat won't give up, and neither should you Mahi."

Mahi frowned, confusion crossing his features. "Bhai what are you...?"

Rahul interrupted, his tone firm yet gentle. "He won't back down easily. I've seen him—he's stubborn Mahi. He can fight for himself and for you!" His gaze locked onto Mahi's, urging him to understand.

Mahi looked away, his heart heavy with conflicting feelings. "Bhai I don't want him to get hurt.." His voice was a whisper, weighed down by protective instincts.

"I know you're protective, but this won't be easy, Mahi!" Rahul insisted, stepping closer. "He won't move on from you, and you won't forget him either!" The sincerity in Rahul's voice was a plea for Mahi to face the truth.

Mahi listened, his heart racing as he absorbed Rahul's words. There was a deep connection between him and Virat that transcended their situation.

Rahul's voice softened "You won't be able to see him with someone else, Mahi.."

Mahi shook his head vigorously. "I can Bhai! It'll be better this way!" He attempted to convince both Rahul and himself, but the tremor in his voice gave him away.
