~ 2010 December ~

The past two years had seen a major shakeup in Team India. Familiar faces departed replaced by a wave of fresh talent.

Virat Kohli was more than just a promising youngster.. had evolved into the backbone of Indian cricket.

The raw talent that once flickered had now become a blazing flame illuminating the path for a new generation. He wasn't just a diamond in the rough anymore.. he was a gem whose brilliance was undeniable.

His hunger for runs was relentless, a driving force that pushed him to dominate the game.

For two years Virat had been unstoppable, his aggression and determination turning him into a cricketing juggernaut. Every time he stepped onto the field, he did so with a fierce resolve to be the best.

But recently, that form had started to wane. The once effortless flow of runs now seemed harder to achieve. His aggressive approach, which had been his greatest strength, sometimes appeared to work against him.

The frustration was visible his footwork a fraction slower, his shots not finding the gaps they once did.

Yet! even in this challenging phase, Virat's determination remained unshaken. The cricketing world had seen him rise before and though his current struggles were evident.. they knew he had the resilience to fight back.

Virat Kohli was far from finished and his journey was still unfolding.

Virat, Jadeja, Rohit, Shikhar and Ajinkya's friendship thrives on playful banter. Though these lighthearted arguments never get serious, they strengthen their bond.

The years had quietly created a new distance between Mahi and Virat. Though their bond had grown stronger with everyone knowing how Mahi is biased toward Virat, something had subtly shifted.

Virat found comfort in knowing he was important to Mahi and that had brought him a sense of happiness. Yet! they no longer shared a room together and while they remained close there was an unspoken distance between them.

Mahi often found himself longing for the early days when things were simpler, when their friendship felt effortless and unburdened by the complexities that had since crept in.

Virat felt the same tug of nostalgia missing the ease with which they once connected. They both silently acknowledged that things had changed but neither spoke of it perhaps out of fear that addressing it might widen the gap further.

Mahi knew that keeping a distance from Virat was necessary even if it felt like a quiet ache in his chest. The years had changed things responsibilities weighing heavily on their shoulders, steering them into different roles that demanded more from them.

Mahi understood that their bond once effortless and free had to be managed with caution now. He convinced himself that it was better this way.. better to let the space between them grow than to risk complicating their friendship in ways that neither of them was prepared to handle.

Virat on the other hand.. had come to his own difficult realization. He knew that getting too close to Mahi would only lead to heartbreak.

Over the past two years, Virat had tried to move on. But staying away from Mahi had been anything but easy for Virat. Every moment of distance felt like a small betrayal of the bond they once shared.
