Sunset Eyes

There was nothing about
Her that wasn't red
And her eyes
Would look at me
Like two skies
In the verge of the sunset
She was a dancer with no balance.
A singer with no talent.
Yet she attracted everyone
Wherever she went
Said 'life is delicate,
Wind blows strong
And destroys it'
But because blue
Is the sadness colour
And red was she
I didn't see.

Built a castle in my brain
Used love as the bricks
Inside I did put the feelings
The plans and the memories
Intending to hide them
Even of my own
(As if I was capable)
Cause the pain they brought
Made it seem unbearable
To breath
Thought I'd stay
With my eyes closed
And my heart broken
And my soul frozen
And my mind hopeless
Cause my arms
Had nothing to embrace

But in every phrase
I write
There she's still alive with me.
