Scylla 36: Juno

The crescent moon started to peek into the clouds. The sky was covered in a dark veil, with the cradle of stars sleeping in its soft silk.

“Juno's, how's the mission?” I glance at the seven people covered in dark cloaks, they aren't wearing the hoods of it so I can clearly see their faces.

They all put their right arms in their chest and bowed their heads in unison.

“I greet the lord, we're here to report our missions,” A man said who's wearing a piece of silver metal encircling his shoulder down to his arm. It was formed into a peculiar design.

It is Uno, the captain of the Seraphim knight but was also known as the beast of the Juno. The one who controls the wilderness.

All of them have that similar object in different specific parts of their body.

“Speak, Uno.”

“As what you've ordered me and Dos, my lord. We've assassinated Lady Louise and Count Deliaz sa mismong araw ng pagkakatapon sa kanila sa labas ng Imperyo,” He reported, I hid the satisfied grin plastered on my mischievous lips with my hands and crossed my legs as I sat.

I didn't answer so he continued.

“We've decomposed their body and cleaned the mess like what you've instructed us. Dos and I, inspected the crime scene at least 3 times, making sure there wasn't any clue that could trace us.”

Bumaling si Uno kay Dos at nagbigay ng pahiwatig rito upang magsalita.

“I greet our benevolence,” His baritone voice echoed in the four corners of the room. His red hair was brushing the tip of his nose, slightly blocking the view of his light blue irises. Kagaya ng kay Uno may suot-suot rin itong silver metal, the difference is that it was in his head and he wore it like a crown bestowed by the mood goddess.

Dos, the bullet. The piercer of the flesh.

“I've already reported the deaths of the two individuals to the higher-ups of this Empire as an incident. Sinabi kona hinarang ito ng mga malalaking grupo ng bandito, since there was no one guarding their carriages, they were all immediately killed by a bandit with an ability. I captured few bandits and made them as the suspect and testify,” detalyadong pagbibigay alam niya sa'kin.

I leaned on the back of the chair, “How about the members of their family? Hindi ba nila kayo nakita?”

“No, my lord. Magkaibang carriage po ang kanilang mga sinaksyan, samantalang ang dalawa ay pinagsama sa iisang carriage. Nasa dulong bahagi sila kaya't hindi ito napansin agad ng iba,” sagot sa'kin ni Uno.

Dos cleared his throat, “I'm the one who assigned them to ride in just one carriage so we can execute the plan easily, my lord.”

As expected, they were capable enough to do things on their own without my guidance. I couldn't be more proud.

“You did well, since I am in a good mood, both of you will be rewarded.”

Did they really think I would just let them go away breathing fine after framing me and putting me on a trial? Too bad for them, I harbor anger. I wouldn't let anyone disrespect my shadows, I would force and shove their asses to face satan if I needed to so they can know that they were barking up the wrong tree.

“We appreciate your kindness, my lord!” sabay na saad nila, umatras naman ang mga ito at umabante paharap ang tatlong pigura na nasa likuran nila kanina.
