Jay had invited her over to his house for a study session.
"Hey, Ain! Come in."
"Nice home."
"Thanks, It's a bit messy though. My mom's been after me to clean up, so don't mind the clutter."
"It's okay."
They moved to the living room, where a small coffee table was already set up with their books, notebooks, and a couple of pens.
"Make yourself comfortable. I'll grab us some snacks."
"Thank you, Jay."

Jay returned a moment later with a tray of snacks and drinks.
"I wasn't sure what you liked, so I brought a bit of everything."
"It's okay Jay, I really appreciate that."
After a while, Jay sighed dramatically and dropping his pen.
"I have to be honest, Ain. I'm finding it hard to concentrate today."
Ain laughed and relieved that she wasn't the only one.
"Me too, I guess we're both a bit distracted."
"Maybe studying wasn't the best idea after all. Ain, how about we just.. talk?"
"Yes, sure."

At one point, Jay got up and walked over to the bookshelf, pulling out an old photo album.
"I thought you might want to see this."
The album was filled with pictures of a younger Jay. There were pictures of him with his family, on school trips, and even a few with his friends.
Jay laughed, pointing to a particularly awkward photo of him in a superhero costume.
"This was me in fifth grade. I was convinced I had superpowers."
Ain giggled.
"You look adorable. I think you still have that superhero charm."
Jay blushed.
"Maybe you're my kryptonite."
"Maybe, hahaha."
