The days after Jay's move to Seoul felt different for Ain.
Ain stared at her phone, wondering why Jay hadn't texted her back yet. She knew he was busy settling into his new school.
In the evening, after finishing her homework.. Ain sat at the window, her phone in her hand. Her last message sent hours ago, was still unread. She had written something simple. "How's your day going?"
No response.
Ain sighed, closing her phone. Maybe she was overthinking things.

Finally, during lunch.. she decided to break the silence. Ain opened her phone and sent a new message: "Is everything okay? I feel like we haven't really talked in a while."
The response didn't come immediately, but when it did, it was short.
Jay: "I'm fine, just busy."
That night, she lay awake in bed.. staring at the ceiling. Had she done something wrong? Was Jay feeling overwhelmed? Or was this just what long-distance relationships were like?
