Ain walked through the hallways, her mind replaying the night before—dancing under the fairy lights with Jay.
She couldn't stop thinking about him. There had always been something about Jay that intrigued her, but last night felt like the start of something more—something real.

Inside the classroom, she walked over to him, her heart beating a little faster.
"Hey."
"Hey."
Ain sit beside him and for a moment they sat in silence. Finally, Jay broke the silence.
"About last night... I hope I didn't make things awkward. I just—well, I wanted to be honest with you."
"You didn't make it awkward at all, Jay. In fact... I'm glad you said what you did. I've been thinking a lot about it too."
"Really??"
"I've felt the same way. There's something between us, and I think it's worth exploring. I don't want to rush things, but I also don't want to hold back if you feel the same."
"I do feel the same. I've been trying to figure it out for a while, but last night... it all became clear."
"So... where do we go from here?" Ain asked.
"I think we just.. take it one step at a time. We don't have to figure it all out right away. But I want to spend more time with you, to get to know you even better."
"Me too, Jay."

During lunch, they sitting outside under the shade of a tree.
"Ain, you know I was thinking... there's a new exhibit at the art museum downtown. I was wondering if you'd want to go with me this weekend?"
"I love that! I've been wanting to check it out."
"Great, it's a date then."
As they go to the gate, Jay stopped and look at her.
"I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Yeah, tomorrow."
