"Thinking about something?"
Ain leaning at his chest.
"Just thinking about how far we've come."
Jay didn't respond right away. Instead, he resting his chin on her shoulder.
"I've been wanting to tell you something," Jay finally said.
"What is it?"
Jay took a deep breath, his hands still resting on her waist.
"I know we've had our ups and downs. The distance, the misunderstanding—it hasn't always been easy. But through it all, I realized something."
"I want this.. I want us. No matter what happens or how far apart we might be, I don't want to imagine my life without you in it."
He reached into his pocket, pulling out a small, delicate ring.
"Ain, I'm not asking for forever right now.. but I'm asking for the beginning of it. Will you stay with me, Ain? No more doubts, no more hesitation.. just us, moving forward.."
Ain stared at the ring, her heart pounding so loudly she could barely hear anything else.
"Yes.. yes, Jay.."
She's crying..
Without hesitation, Jay put the ring onto her finger. Ain's arms wrapped around his neck, holding him close as the world seemed to fall away.
Jay cupped her face in his hands, his thumb touch softly against her cheek.
"This is just the beginning.. and you always be mine.. forever.."
Ain smiled and their foreheads touching.
"And the beginning of forever.. thank you for accepted me, Jay.."
"Also you.. I love you so much, Ain.."
"I love you too, Jay.."
As the sun set behind them, they sealed their promise with a hug.
