H A N N I

"Hanni, I missed you so much!" Danielle exclaimed energetically, pulling me into a tight hug in the lobby. I hugged her back just as tightly, holding on for a good minute before we finally pulled away.

"Girl, look at you! You're glowing!" I laughed, taking in just how absolutely stunning my best friend looked-even though she wasn't wearing any makeup.

"It's my wedding, I had to be all glammed up," she joked, her eyes drifting to Haerin, who was currently shaking Minji by the shoulders.

"How the hell did you forget my wedding, Minji?" Haerin demanded.

"Hey, I'm a busy woman, okay?" Minji said, pulling away from Haerin's grip with a playful grin.

"I'm not talking to you," Haerin rolled her eyes before she turned to me with a warm smile, her entire demeanor changing.

"Your room is all set. We booked it for you because, you know, we're such amazing hosts," Danielle said sarcastically, leading us toward the elevator.

I wasn't surprised, considering this hotel practically belonged to Danielle's family, thanks to her dad owning it.

All four of us squeezed into the elevator, and Danielle pressed the button for our floor.

"So, how was the car ride?" Danielle asked with a mischievous smirk, and I immediately rolled my eyes. She and Haerin definitely planned this.

"Hanni was sleeping through most of it. It was great listening to her snore," Minji joked, and I felt my cheeks heat up in embarrassment.

"I hate you," I laughed, shaking my head.

"But you don't," Minji smiled, that playful glint in her eyes, and I was left speechless for a moment.

Before I could reply, the elevator dinged, and everyone stepped out, leaving me standing inside, my jaw hanging slightly open. I quickly snapped out of it and followed them.

Haerin pulled a keycard from her pocket and tossed it to Minji, who barely caught it.

"This," Haerin said, pointing to the door, "is for you two."

"What?!" Minji and I exclaimed at the same time.

"See, the thing is..." Danielle glanced at Haerin awkwardly before continuing, "The hotel's really packed these days, so we thought it'd be fun for you two to share a room. You know, to catch up."

Minji cleared her throat and sighed loudly.

"Kang Haerin. Come here," she said, dragging Haerin to the side as Haerin protested weakly. Meanwhile, I stormed toward Danielle.

"You want me to share a room with Minji?" I whisper-yelled.

Danielle nodded proudly, patting my shoulder. "I'm helping your ass out. Plus, the room is spacious. You two can sit in different corners if you want."

I groaned in frustration. "Dani, it's going to be so awkward."

"Awkward? You two weren't awkward in the elevator. You were bickering like old times! It'll be fine; it's just one night," Danielle winked at me, lowering her voice. "The rooms are soundproof. Take full advantage of that."

I rolled my eyes, biting back a flustered smile. "I'm actually going to kill you."

Haerin returned, dragging Minji along, and scanned the keycard to unlock the door. She pushed Minji inside and tossed her bag in after her.

"We're just next door. Get some sleep, big day tomorrow," Haerin said with a smirk, handing me the keycard before Danielle pushed me into the room as well. The door shut with a soft click behind us.
