Ch15 Hello again

After the funeral it was like Tommy forgot us completely. At lease that's what if felt like. I finally went home and after I put Aphrodite in her new crib I went to my bedroom and fell on the bed.
The phone rang and I growled picking it up which this time I had a cordless on the night stand. "What?"

"I see you're finally home. How was the funeral?" It was Nikki.

"Once his girl showed up he ignored us totally. Nikki I'm really tired can I call you later?"

"Sorry sure. I'll talk to you later." I turned off the phone and turned the ringer off. For some reason the sheets still had a little bit of Nikki's scent on them.

"God I need to do laundry." I'm telling you I slept really good once I drifted off to sleep. I jumped up seeing the sun was out and was worried I didn't hear Aphrodite. I went to her room and she wasn't there. I started to panic and looked around the house. I went outside grabbing the phone but seen Tommy sitting there on the patio patting Aphrodite's back. I sighed.

"Sorry I didn't want to wake you. I knew you were tired so I came over to help take care of the baby so you could get some sleep."

"I thought someone took her or something. Where's Mayte?"

"Shopping I guess." I sighed and sat down across from him.

"I can't do tis. I'm not going to let you do tis to us. Give me Aphrodite and my spare key now." I said standing up still a little tired. He stared at me. "Look you sweet talked me into coming back
here and you are Aphrodite's da but dat's it. You made the choice to be with Mayte or whatever her name is. There's nothing between us anymore. If you want to see Aphrodite, then Athena will bring her to you. I don't want to see you anymore. I don't want anything from you so don't even try to think you can give me money because I don't want it. You've made it perfectly clear dat you don't want me and really, I shouldn't let you 'ave Aphrodite but I'm not a cruel person and unfortunately, we'll 'ave to share her."

He stood up still holding her. He took the spare key out and handed it to me. "Is it ok if I take her a few days? Athena will bring her back to you."

"Yeah." He took Aphrodite for a week. After that Athena would take her to him every weekend or holiday. If he was on tour, he'd send his stupid assistant on a private jet to get her on Fridays. Anyway we didn't see each other for a while. I didn't see him or run into him until sometime around November 9, 2003.

By then I had cut my hair to my shoulders and got it layered. So I kind of looked like Reece Witherspoon. I was now working full time for Nikki. Mainly working at his studio fixing equipment. He always had something for me to work on. I started feeling like I was his
assistant.

Anyway it started out a normal day. Aphrodite was in a daycare and I was working around Nikki's studio that morning. Which he had one in his house, so I believe he was up that morning taking the kids to school and such. He came in the studio putting a newspaper on his desk by the computer along with his shades. "Your here early today. How's the bugs coming along?" He said sitting in his computer chair.

Just about every room in that house was huge and he had a computer desk in the corner. I could show you what it looked like, but I might get in trouble. Anyway, I was working on this platform he was thinking about using for a solo. "Mm I think most of the bugs are gone? Any progress on Mick?"

"Alan and I are still working on trying to find him. If only I could get T and Vince in the same room." He sort of mumbled that so I really didn't hear him. "Jasmine, I have a meeting soon do you think you can run out and get lunch for everyone?"

I stopped working and stood up. I wiped my hands off. "What should I get and where?"

"Uh just got a couple pizzas and sodas." He pulled out his wallet and handed me some cash. "It doesn't matter what's on it. The guys will eat anything. Tracii will be here soon."

"Ok but I'm going to shower before I come back unless you 'ave more dirty work for me." He looked at me.

"Naw we're not going to be playing today. My meeting probably will take all day so Tracii might get pissed about it but I don't care. Allan's really pushing this meeting on me with these people. Just order the pizza and by the time you shower it will be ready." So I ordered it and took a shower at my house.

After I got dressed, I picked up the pizzas and sodas. There were three cars outside of Nikki's house when I came back. I got out of the car and got the pizza boxes. It was hard holding the boxes and soda bag. I kicked the car door shut and went to the front door. I managed to hold the boxes with my knee so I could open the door. "I'm back." I yelled out.

Someone took the first two boxes along with the bag. "Put it on the counter babe." I heard Nikki say. I put it on the counter in the kitchen and decided to sit at the bar to eat a few slices. I heard
someone say in the hall,

"Hey Sixx, who's the chick?" But I wasn't really paying attention. I was lost in thought sitting there.

"What chick?" I heard Nikki. I finished the slice and went to the studio. As I walked in I seen Tommy sitting there eating. He still had the blonde highlights and I noticed he had a few tattoos on his neck. His eyes met mine because when I walked in I just stopped dead in my tracks. I felt I couldn't move and for a second it looked like his eyes sparkled a bit.

He wiped his hands off and took a drink out of the soda bottle. "Hey. You must be Nikki's assistant. I'm..."

Then the moment was broken and I got pissed. "I know who you are. NIKKI!!" I yelled going into the dining room mad as hell. "You set me up."

"What are you talking about?" He said and I stormed out to get in my car. Tommy came running out.

"Hey wait. Are you busy tonight?" I looked at him and realized he didn't recognize me.

"I don't really 'ave anyone to watch me little girl."

"Mm well you can bring her. We'll all go out to dinner together." I just looked at him and he looked nervous.

"Hang on a tick." I went back in and I seen Nikki sitting back down at the table whistling. "He doesn't recognize me. Just for not telling me he was yer meeting yer watching Aphrodite."

"I don't know what you're talking about, but I would love to watch Aphrodite."

I turned around hearing glass break behind me. Tommy was standing there with broken glass at his feet and his mouth dropped wide open. "Jasmine." We both stood there staring at each other. "You...you cut..."

Heyanked me to him and put me in a lip lock. He picked me up and my legs wrappedaround him. "Urgh mmph." Nikki cleared his throat as the kiss gothotter. "Uh T. Jasmine." Tommy's hand went up the skirt I had on."Ok lunch is over. Allan, I think...ah we better go."

My hands undid his belt and he cleared the table as we heard the doors shut.His lips went to my neck as his fingers hooked into my underwear. "Mm stop.Wait." I said trying to breath. He looked at me as he slowly tugged on myunderwear.

"No I've waited long enough. I love you Jasmine and I was an idiot not tosee it before." I grabbed his hand.

"We can't begin like this. You really hurt me Tommy." He let me sit upon the table walking away from me.

"Let me make it up to you. Damn it Jazz." He kicked the chair over."Let me apologize for being a dick to you. I've been a wreak without youand I can't take seeing Aphrodite every weekend.
Every time I see her I think of you and I cry every Sunday night when Athenatakes her home to you. My life's been hell. Just give me one chance."

I straightened my clothes up. "Ok but say we'll start over and dat you'llmeet me at the Viper club at 6:30 sharp and it's a date." He stood therewith his belt still hanging and it was clear he had a hard on. "Mm oh and you might want to fix dat. Drinks are on me." I jumpedoff the table and as I was walking out I said, "Don't be late Mr.Lee." When I opened the door Nikki fell in the door. "Don't expect mefor work tomorrow. Just make sure Aphrodite gets to her play date ok." Sothat was our Hello again.
