"Hurry your bitchass up; I'm not slowing down for you." Jeff said, jogging with ease through the rain and mud. Y/N panted, trying to shield the plushie from the rain as she followed behind.
They had been running for what felt like an hour. Though it's only been a few minutes. She didn't look back at the house; rather, she kept her eyes trained on Jeff.
"Alright, long-legs." Y/N huffed, pulling her hood over her head as the rain trickled between the leaves of the tree.
Jeff scoffed, gripping the knife that was in his hoodie pocket. He probably should have killed her off, but there was something stopping him... It wasn't love. Because girls have cooties. Everyone knows that. Maybe it was because he could use her as target practice for his throwing knives; who knows?
"I never caught your name, by the way," Jeff said, glancing back as he continued to run ahead of Y/N.
"It's Y/N." She assured, the breath aching in her lungs. She slowly came to a stop, leaning against a nearby tree to breathe for a moment.
Of course that was her name... When Jeff looked back, he groaned in annoyance and rolled his eyes.
"Alright, Y/N, do you have to be so slow?" Jeff asked, walking back toward her at a snail's pace.
"It's not my fault that I can't run long distance, Mr. Long Legs." She said, shooting him a glare.
"Oh, I'm so sorry that I have a height advantage." He said, smirking. He was obviously trying to pick a fight; it was his specialty.
"At least I'm funny." Y/N said, walking toward Jeff as he started going in his direction.
"Funny lookin." He teased, giving her a side eye.
Y/N narrowed her eyes before looking down at his legs. In one quick movement, she kicked the backs of her knees, not aggressively, but enough to make him fall forward.
Jeff let out a strangled grass as he landed in the dirt.
"Hey, what was that for!?" He pushed himself up, turning to look at Y/N.
She crossed her arms.
"You know what you did," she said.
Jeff rolled his eyes, trying to suppress the urge to kill you right then and there. Something held him back. He turned around, going toward a dirt road.
"Hurry up, we're getting close." He said, stuffing his hands in his pockets. Y/N trailed behind. Her eyes fixed on the massive building ahead.
The Mansion.
It was even bigger than she had thought, and it didn't even seem that far away from her house, which was both concerning and AMAZING.
"Are ya gonna introduce me to your friends?" Y/N asked, putting the Jeff Plush into her dark gray hoodie pocket.
"I thought you knew their names." Jeff said, walking up the creaky steps of the mansion.
Y/N shrugged, twirling a strand of her hair as she stared at the door. Her gut filled with anticipation as she waited for those giant, spooky doors to open.
Jeff rolled his eyes again.
"Whatever, dweeb." He scoffed, pushing open the doors.
The corridor was lined with Victorian paintings and dying plants. It didn't smell too bad, which was almost surprising. It smelt like pine, iron, and a little bit of smoke—very musky.
Y/N took a weary step inside, glancing around more nervously than before. Jeff was already half way down the hallway before he spoke out to Y/N.
"Hurry up; you wouldn't want them to find you before you find them." He said casually.
Y/N knew it was just something that he said to get under her skin, and it did.
She hurried through the hallway, following after Jeff but keeping her distance. Jeff led her to the living room, where there was no one on the couch.
"Did you just bring me to some random abandoned place to kill me?" Y/N said, half-jokingly.
"No! This is the first time I spared somebody; give me a break!" Jeff said, nudging her arm.
"Awww, it's your first time?" Y/N joked, taking a few brave steps around to peek around corners and see what's around.
Jeff's face turned with a mix of disgust and embarrassment.
"That's not what I said, you freak!" Jeff sputtered, pulling the hood of his bloody, white sweatshirt over his head, making his black bangs fall in front of his face.
Y/N laughed, still looking around. She was about to go toward the kitchen when a cold hand stopped her. Her head whipped around to see a dark blue mask with black ink dripping from the sockets.
"You brought dinner...?" Eyeless Jack asked, tilting his head at the girl.
Y/N's stomach flipped, and Jeff noticed Jack's sudden appearance.
"Oi, Jack!" He frowned, reaching over to a mantle and grabbing a spray bottle. He aimed it at the cannibal, srapying him with the pure water. "We don't eat guests!"
Eyeless Jack hissed and scrambled into a dark corner, trying to wipe away the holy water from his mask and brunette hair.
Y/N looked between Jack and Jeff.
"You just sprayed him like a cat." She said, dumbfounded.
"It's a low-concentration holy water." Jeff said, setting the bottle back on the mantle. He put his hands on his knees, leaning down to look at Jack and mockingly scolding him like a child.
"You need to be nice, okay? This is Y/N; she is our guest, and you are not allowed to eat her. You already had your dinner earlier." Jeff wagged a warning finger at him.
Y/N let out a snicker, and a smirk tugged at Jeff's lips. He suppressed it and turned around before Y/N could tell.
Eyeless Jack stayed crouched in the corner, mumbling some demonic shit while wiping away the remaining water.
"Let's go check out my room, yeah?" Jeff said, glancing at Y/N before walking down a different hallway.
Y/N looked back at Jack, giving him a tiny wave, and followed after Jeff.
