Taehyung hesitated a bit, "Could it be that you saw it wrong?"

Lisa replied earnestly, "No, I'm sure."

"Alright, I got it." Taehyung chose to believe her, "For these few days, I won't let her go out."

Lisa nodded, but could not help saying as she left, "Taehyung, have you ever considered that you are the one who can make her happy?

Taehyung remained silent for a long time and forced a smile, "It's late now, you should go back and rest."

After that, without lingering, he carried Jennie and left.

Lisa sighed softly. This was not the first time she said this, but Taehyung remained unconvinced. He always saw himself as an orphan, a castaway, and believed that he did not have the ability to give the young miss of the Kim family a good life.

The next morning, after Lisa finished the morning meeting, she had someone keep an eye on Kai, hoping to find evidence of his continued involvement with Krystal.

As Shen Da's case needed some additional information, she went to discuss the matter with a lawyer to supplement the necessary data. Throughout the day, she was hardly idle, for she was currently acting as the acting president of the company, and she needed to show some results as soon as possible to solidify her position.

When Jungkook called, she was still busy.

"What's up?" Lisa casually answered the phone.

Jungkook said, "Are you free? Let's have dinner together tonight."

Lisa politely declined, "Maybe next time, I haven't finished my work for today."

Jungkook was always understanding and did not insist. After a few pleasantries, he stopped bothering her.

By the time Lisa finished her work, it was already past ten. Packing her things, she headed downstairs. However, as she walked a few steps, she spotted a figure.

The person approached her step by step and finally stood in front of her. His originally calm demeanor, under the silver moonlight, appeared even more ethereal and otherworldly. "Done with work?"

Lisa was half a head shorter than Jungkook, and to look at him, she had to slightly raise her head, "You were waiting for me?"

"Yeah."

"You still haven't had dinner?"

"Yeah."

Lisa fell silent, "Since what time have you been waiting for me?"

Jungkook did not answer directly, just said, "I reserved a table at the Imperial Kitchen. We can still make it. Shall we go?"

Knowing that Jungkook must have been waiting until now, Lisa could not refuse, so she nodded and agreed.

Just as she was about to get in the car, Jennie called her on the phone. "Lili, could you help me with something?"

"What happened?"

"My artist friend needs to have an abortion, and she can't find anyone to help. Her situation is special, and I can't ask anyone else. Can you go and see her? I just left the country with my mom for urgent business, and I won't be able to make it back in time."

It was Lisa who proposed to Madam Kim to take Jennie away for a short period. This was to keep her from contacting Kai.

Without hesitation, Lisa agreed.

Jungkook took the driver's seat and asked casually, "What happened?"

Lisa briefly explained, "Let's have dinner tomorrow instead. I'll go check on her first."
