Lisa had been busy for several days, shuttling back and forth between the company and the hospital. Finally, when she finished handling the company's matters, she could finally catch her breath for a while.
Jennie noticed that she had not been eating properly these past few days, so when she had some free time, she took Lisa out to have a good meal.
Lisa did not refuse her sister's kind invitation. The two of them went to a restaurant where Jennie had made a reservation in advance.
In this restaurant, each table was separated by screens, allowing them to hear nearby conversations while remaining unseen. It was quite an interesting setup.
As Lisa sat down with Jennie, she heard a familiar voice coming from the next table.
"Nancy, I'll give you five million to leave my son!"
Jennie recognized the voice as Madam Oh's and whispered, "So, you don't like Nancy either? I thought she was only bitter towards you, but it seems she's like this with her daughter-in-law too. Is she out of her mind?"
Lisa ordered the dishes and looked helplessly at Jennie. "Let's focus on what to eat and not bother with gossip."
The next table fell silent for a while before Nancy's soft voice spoke again, "Aunt Oh, you know, I'm with Sehun not for his money. We've been together for so long, why are you suddenly like this?"
Lisa thought she had already placated the old hag, but it seemed she was up to something today. Nevertheless, this might be an opportunity. Lisa felt that Sehun no longer trusted her like before, and she had to take some drastic action.
"Not for money? Do you think it's not enough? No matter how much money I give you, you can't compare to Sehun's wife. Nancy, I've seen your type before. Your little tricks don't work on me. I'm not Sehun," sneered Madam Oh. She used to find Nancy amusing, like a well-behaved and obedient pet, but now that this pet wanted to rebel and covet what didn't belong to her, it was unacceptable.
Madam Oh had recently introduced Sehun to a wealthy young lady. Although her family background couldn't match the Manoban's, she was on a completely different level compared to Nancy, who was from an ordinary background. Madam Oh had already arranged a meeting with the other family and planned to let the two children get acquainted.
Nancy had to be dealt with. Madam Oh did not mind if Sehun kept a mistress outside, but that mistress shouldn't come dancing into their lives. Especially if that mistress would eventually take the position of the Oh family's main wife, which would reveal to everyone that Sehun had cheated while he was married. Their family's reputation would be completely ruined.
"You've misunderstood me, Aunt Oh." Nancy sounded a bit aggrieved, adding a hint of crying in her voice. "Sehun and I have been together since college. If it weren't for the family's interests, Sehun wouldn't have let me go. Now that the Oj family is stable, Sehun and I truly love each other. Why do you want to break us apart?"
Madam Oh's tone was mocking. "You say you truly love each other? Who told you that? Where do you get such confidence? No, someone like you knows very well that Sehun doesn't love you purely. His feelings for you are mixed with other things. I know my son."
Hearing this, Nancy's hands clenched slightly, feeling anxious but not showing it. "Sehun is just not good with words."
"No, it's because Sehun simply doesn't love you. His feelings for you are not genuine; they are tainted with something else. I know my son," Madam Oh repeated coldly.
Inwardly cursing the old hag, Nancy maintained her soft and gentle facade. "Aunt Oh, you're not Sehun. You don't understand his thoughts. In my eyes, he truly loves me."
