"Being favored by President Jeon is our honor, and naturally, I cannot refuse. However..." Lisa hesitated for a moment and still asked the following question, "Your investment in the Manoban family's project, President Jeon, is it solely for profit, out of pity, or for some other reason? In fact..."
Eunwoo was slightly surprised, not expecting Lisa to ask such a question. Just as he did not know how to respond, a familiar male voice came from outside the door.
"Of course, it's for profit."
Lisa turned to look and indeed saw Jungkook.
He walked up to her and looked down at her, saying, "I appear here, and you don't seem surprised at all."
Lisa had an indifferent expression on her face. "What's there to be surprised about? Young Master Jeon doesn't like the family business and has started his own venture. What's there to be surprised about?" She had suspected that Jungkook was venturing out on his own, and now that it was confirmed, there was no need to be too surprised.
She put on a serious look and asked again, "Why did you invest in this project? I believe we have a personal relationship, but the way you're handling this might not sit well with the board of directors, right?" If it was her project, regardless of the returns, Jungkook would invest the full amount. Even if it wasn't Jeon's family's project, it would still be Jungkook's. His indifference raised some questions about how she should reciprocate. Or rather, she couldn't reciprocate...
"I've already answered this question earlier," Jungkook replied calmly. "Businessmen seek profit, and I've simply seen the potential for high returns in this project, just like any other business endeavor. Project Suburb One has value in my eyes."
Upon hearing this, Lisa felt somewhat relieved. She already owed him enough, and she did not want to accept any more charity from him. Once the project was up and running, it would generate significant income, and if he took his share of the profits, she would not owe him anything.
After an hour of discussion, they temporarily settled some basic matters, with the details to be worked out in a contract later.
Jungkook and Eunwoo prepared to leave, and Lisa went downstairs to see them off.
As they reached the parking lot, Eunwoo noticed that their car's tire was flat, and after examining it for a while, he looked quite embarrassed. "President Jeon, our tire is flat. It seems like it's been punctured."
Upon hearing this, Jungkook's eyebrows furrowed slightly, "Contact Eunwoo and have him drive over."
Eunwoo nodded and took out his phone.
Lisa, out of politeness, said, "I'm also getting off work. How about I give you a ride back?"
She was just being polite, but she did not expect Jungkook to actually agree,
"That would be great."
Lisa thought to herself, looking at Jungkook's smiling eyes, that he was doing it on purpose. Ignoring her a few days ago and acting like this today... She could only respond, "No trouble at all."
Eunwoo courteously opened the back door of the car to make room for their boss.
Half an hour later, they arrived at their destination.
Jungkook did not immediately get out of the car, "Want to come up and sit for a while?"
Lisa was about to decline, but Jungkook continued, "I bought some new candies from Country A. It's the one you said was delicious last time. They've come up with new flavors."
The words of refusal on Lisa's lips were swallowed back. How should she put it? If it weren't for her being physically fine, she would really suspect if there was something addictive in those candies. They were indeed very delicious...
