It was precisely the Pj family.
The two groups locked eyes, silent. The Oh family never thought highly of the Tangs, and the elderly couple from the Tang family disliked Sehun even more. If it weren't for Lisa's insistence back then, the Tang family would have found Sehun insufferable. Since Lisa and Sehun's divorce, the two families had severed all ties and never interacted again.
The two groups waited for the elevator together.
The air was tense. Nancy broke the silence, "Lili, I didn't expect you to have dinner with the Tang family. What a coincidence."
"Yes," Lisa chuckled, "Coincidental to the point where certain people are so self-absorbed that they think I'm following them. It's really amusing! Even after all this time, how can someone think I still have feelings for him? As if he's some kind of irresistible treasure...
Sehun stared at her, his face clouded with anger.
Lisa ignored him.
The Tang family did not spare him a glance either. Just speaking to them felt uncomfortable; their aversion was practically written on their faces.
When they got into the elevator and reached the parking lot, the Tang family got into their car, and Lisa headed for her own. Just as she opened her car door, someone called her name, "Lisa, wait."
Lisa looked up and saw Madam Oh walking toward her, leaning against the car door. "What's the matter? I've already said it; I didn't come here because of your son. Can't you stop being so self-absorbed?"
Madam Oh went straight to the point, "Sehun is going to marry Nancy. Did you know?"
"Isn't this common knowledge by now?" Lisa was speechless, but what followed left her even more dumbfounded.
Madam Oh hesitated and said, "I want to ask you, if I give you a chance, do you still want to return to the Oh family?"
"Heh!" Lisa smiled ambiguously, "Give me a chance? So until now, you still think I want to reconcile with Sehun? I really don't understand. What do I need to say for you to understand that I have no feelings for Sehun anymore!"
"Don't speak out of anger," Madam Oh scolded, "I know you haven't let go of Sehun. You liked him for so long; how could you move on in just a year? I'm a woman; I understand these emotions. Besides, if you've truly moved on, why do you keep hovering around him and Nancy? Frankly, I'm not satisfied with Nancy, but due to personal reasons, I can't confront her directly. If you want to remarry Sehun, I can help you! And your current status... without the Oh family, it would be difficult to maintain the management rights of the Manoban family, right?"
Madam Oh contemplated for a long time and eventually decided to let Lisa and Sehun remarry. Setting aside the fact that the Manoban family's assets had doubled, which was advantageous to the Oh family, just Lisa's blood type was worth her consideration. In case something happened to her son again, she did not want any unexpected situations to arise. Having a mobile blood bank was safer.
Lisa turned to face her directly, saying, "Madam Oh, are you planning to use me as a pawn in your scheme?"
"It's a mutually beneficial arrangement," Madam Oh said confidently. "You want to remarry Sehun, and I want to get rid of Nancy. By cooperating, we both benefit. Why not seize this opportunity?"
"Madam Oh, do you not understand what I'm saying? I don't want to remarry Sehun. So where does the mutual benefit come in?" Lisa's tone turned mocking. "I remember, Madam Oh, you used to suspect that I harmed Sehun. Have you forgotten?"
Madam Oh hadn't forgotten. She had been investigating all along but hadn't found any evidence. She used to suspect Lisa, but when she learned that Lisa had donated blood to save Sehun, her suspicions faded. If it had been Lisa, there would have been no need for the blood transfusion, and she wouldn't have even mentioned it. Something about the whole incident didn't add up. Now, she was more inclined to suspect Nancy.
