Chapter 13
Shock and Awe.
Mamma? Daddy? is all she could say after she stopped screaming, her screams were of shock at seeing them and pent up emotions at realizing they were actually standing in the library of Cusworth Hall in the year 1863. They were supposed to be dead. She was in Awe to say the least that they were indeed alive!
"Troi, my baby girl, is it really you?" Daddy came forward stepping over Mamma to grab his only child in a hug to rival all hugs.
"Oh Daddy! she ran to him crying. Daddy, I missed you so much. Oh my goodness, you look so young and healthy. But how?".........."shhh my dear in time we will talk. Lets get your mother up."
Lord Hollingsworth moved over to Ellie's side on the floor and tried to revive her by fanning her with his handkerchief.
Duncan also moved to help revive the still yet fainted woman.
Becker just sat there stunned. Taking swig after swig of the now half empty bottle of brandy.
Daria, grabbed a sherry and sat down on the couch to watch the events unfolding in her home.
"Mamma, please wake up its me Troi, your little girl, please Mamma, I am here and you are alive!" "Oh my gosh, this is such a shocker."
Mamma slowly opened her eyes and scooted back like a crab on all fours across the floor like she had been frightened of something. All the while keeping her eyes on the impossible. Her daughter squatting right in front of her here in the Duchesses library.
"This cannot be!" "How did you find us?" "Oh my girl, you are really here, aren't you? Does this mean you died in Kentucky?"
"No mamma I don't think so. I was taking a taxi to the hospital in Lexington as a bad Tornado struck Fayette County, then I ended up in the driveway here at Cusworth Hall in the nineteenth century."
"Goodness gracious this is all so unbelievable." Daddy said.
Mamma, Daddy and Troianne sat on the floor in a three way hug, none of them willing to stand up to break the bond.
Lord Hollingsworth spoke up and said: "I think it is all magnificent! Never would have thought that a whole family would end up as Time Travelers, ending up in the same place. There has got to be an explanation somewhere, and I am going to be the one to find it."
Troianne happened to look over in the corner and saw who was sitting in the chair drinking brandy.
Ahhh, she gasped, "Becker? You are here? How did you get here? What do you want?"
"Why are you asking me the questions? I belong here, why are you here?
"I don't know why I am here," she says bowing her head down.
Oh dear Lord, she was going to have to tell him about Diana, he was going to ruin everything she had dreamed of, a life with Duncan. This is certainly one big mess!
Duncan spoke up; "First of all, Mr. and Mrs. Shelden, Miss Shelden, please have a seat on the other sofa."
The threesome moved as they were directed and took the sofa opposite of Daria who was still sipping on her sherry and grinning like a Cheshire cat.
"Becker, do put that damn bottle down and draw your chair closer. There are a few things we all need to discuss." Duncan ordered.
Lord Hollingsworth remained standing.
"Now, Miss Shelden please tell everyone how you arrived here in the nineteenth century from the twenty-first century.
She held her mother's hand as she explained about becoming pregnant. Becker's face turned as white as a ghost and he started to choke, reaching over Lord Hollingsworth smacked him hard on the back, that sobered him up.
