Chapter 37
Society Meeting #2
The stars in the sky seemed to glow like small moons in the twilight of the night as Becker, William and Ellie Shelden traveled by coach to the home of Terrence Hollingsworth, where they are to attend the Time Travel Society Meeting to discuss what Terrence had found that could help to ensure Diana's safety.
They arrived a short time later, being greeted by Terrence and the Dowager Duchess Daria Belles-Whitby, Duncan's mother.
"Good Evening Becker, William, Ellie, welcome. We were just about to get started, all of our guests have arrived and are eager to hear an update on Troianne, Duncan and the dear child Diana."
Terrence swept his hand to indicate for them to follow him into the meeting salon.
Daria, took Ellie by the arm and the two women whispered quietly as they walked.
Becker was nervous, he hated these meetings, especially now when they would involve the fate of his child.
He noticed all of the usual attendees had already taken there seats. Terrence stood at the podium, calling out to each member a roll call.
Sir Ebraham Bales, nodding his stoic head toward Terrence.
Lady Agatha, dipping her garish red head to all there.
Mr. Devon and Mrs. (Sue) Bissonette, sitting comfortable with smiles on their faces.
Miss Sherry Cummings, tittering behind her purple feather fan.
Mr. Steven Schaumberg, sitting tall, nodding his head in acknowledgement of his name being called.
Mr. Lawrence Milliner, smiling, nodding his head in recognition, fingering his Star of David charm hanging from the chain around his neck.
Dowager Duchess Daria Belles-Whitby, waving her small silk, gloved hand in the air.
Mr. William and Mrs. (Ellie) Shelden, acknowledging their names being called out with a "here."
Lord Becker Love, clearing his throat with a cough, "here."
Lady Agatha swept herself up to the podium to read the minutes from the last meeting. All were in agreement with a unanimous "I."
Next up was Steven Schaumberg. He approached the podium, Terrence turned and walked out of the room. Becker watched as Terrence exited, wondering why the man would leave at this moment. His thoughts were interrupted as Steven started to speak;
"Dear Time Travel Society members, tonight we have been called here to discuss the circumstances surrounding the abduction of Diana Elizabeth Shelden, Biological daughter of Lord Becker Love, Daughter of Troianne Shelden, who as you all know is the long awaited, time traveling, daughter of William and Ellie Shelden and our own Duke, Dr. Duncan Belles-Whitby. I have it on good authority that Troianne, Duncan and the child are all safe at Troiannes family home in Lexington, Kentucky in the year 2013.
"We are here to come together as one in order to keep the child safe and out of the hands of demons wishing to kidnap the child again."
Gasps erupt from the members.
"Please my friends, let me explain; The child Diana, possesses magical powers, her blood is rich, it is coveted by the demons of hell for its strong controlling benefits. The child is a sorceress of the highest order." More gasps and whispers can be heard. Steven continues: "Her bloodline is royal, she will reign supreme over all time travel and magic when she reaches her prime of 16 years old. The demons seek her out in order to find power even world domination. The demons must certainly be stopped. However, our most pressing matter at this time is keeping the child safe and out of their evil clutches."
