Chapter 16: Contract

I halted the car in parking lot, climbing out of the car in haste. I checked the time on the watch on my wrist to see if I was late but I wasn't. I adjusted the suit on my body, walking into the lobby ignoring the receptionist, going straight into the elevator.

I arrived at my floor, the elevator opened with a ding as I strode towards my office. The boards were having a final meeting today and as the acting Ceo or better still, the Coo I've got to be there. They need my approval on everything before they proceeded with the work.

I grabbed a bottle of water from the refrigerator before closing it back. I gulped down the cold water down my throat causing me to sigh in pleasure.

I strode into the boardroom, my presence commanding attention. The room fell silent as all eyes turned to me. The table was filled with my team, each person engrossed in their work - laptops open, papers scattered, and pens scratching notes.

To my left, Sabrina sat poised, her dark hair pulled back in a sleek bun, her eyes fixed on me with a hint of a smile. Next to her, Tammy leaned back in her chair, her arms crossed, a look of calm confidence on her face.

"Good morning, everyone," I said, my voice firm and authoritative.

The room responded with a chorus of greetings, and my team adjusted their positions, making room for me at the head of the table.

Sabrina began her presentation, clicking through slides on her laptop. "As you know, our launch is just around the corner. We've selected three models for the campaign, each with their own unique look and appeal."

Tammy added, "We've also secured partnerships with several influencers and bloggers to help promote the brand. Our marketing strategy is shaping up to be one of our strongest yet."

I listened intently, scanning the images and data on the screen. After a few moments, I nodded, satisfied. "I like what I see. Let's move forward with these models and partnerships."

The room erupted into a flurry of activity as my team discussed their contributions to the launch. Ideas were tossed around, debated, and refined. I listened, offering guidance and feedback where needed.

As the meeting drew to a close, I surveyed the room, my eyes meeting each person's gaze. "I expect nothing but perfection from each of you. Let's make this launch one to remember."

The room responded with a chorus of agreements and nods.

Once the meeting was adjourned, I turned to Sabrina. "Follow me, please."

She gathered her things and trailed behind me as I led her to my office. The door closed behind us, and I turned to face her.

"Sabrina, I need you to coordinate with Tammy and ensure everything is in place for the launch. I want this to be flawless."

She nodded, her eyes locked onto mine. "Of course, I'll take care of it."

I nodded, my mind already turning to the next task at hand. The launch was just the beginning – I had bigger plans for FTF, and I needed my team to be sharp and focused if we were going to succeed.

Five minutes had passed and I haven't heard the door close ot even open up. I raised my head to look even Sabrina was still there. Her figure was still standing in front of me with her gaze fixated on me.
