Prologue: Nightmare

•Sabrina•

"I'm sorry but I think we've got to cut your scholarship off, Ms Rhodes" I watched the dean say as my eyes started to tear up. Why in the world am I been punished for what I didn't do.

"But I did nothing, I wasn't even aware of this" I pointed at the screen of the laptop where a video played as tears rolled down my cheeks. My mother is so gonna kill me. "Well, this video says otherwise, and Ms Rhodes, I'm sorry we can't believe you. I really used to look up to you and saw you as a great example for kids. To think that you would even do this and post online? I'm so disappointed in you" Those words shattered my heart in a million pieces. One of my worst nightmares is when someone loosed trust in me and now the dean of my faculty has.

"Jade...." She raised her hand up successfully shutting me up. "Mrs Jameson" She corrected. "I've had some little talks about your issue with the owners of this college and they have come to the conclusion of letting go off your scholarship and expelling you. We don't want some ill mannered kids in our college. And I'm guessing that's all, you can take your leave" Wiping the tears from my face with the back of my hand as I strolled towards the door.

"Sabrina?" She called my attention making me face her. "You leave tonight. Your roommate has helped with the packing of your luggages, you'd just need to hail for a cab and you'd be taken to your home" I nodded, acknowledging what she had said as I twisted the doorknob finding my way out of her office.

My feet met the grass on the floor as I saw Larson smirking in the corner with his friend. "You shouldn't have broken up with me sweetheart. I told you it would have severe consequences but you underestimated me, didn't you?" His tone was filled mockery and that added to the anger that was burning inside of me.

Did I make a mistake for breaking up with him? No, but the only mistake I ever made was ever dating him. I'm regretting it now, I should have listened to Rieke when she said he was a jerk. I hate it when someone is always right about something they had cautioned me about. I wrapped my arms around my torso as I found my way to the girls hostel, walking into the hallway. I heard whispers and  preying eyes on the back of my head.

She is a whore!
Such an attention seeker!
I'd never stoop so low!
Hoe!

I've been called different names ever since the video has gotten out and my life hasn't been the same ever since. My world came crashing within a week, how possible?

I knocked lightly on my dorm, ex dorm's door because the key card has been collected from me. The door flung open revealing a sober Rieke, she looked at me with pity eyes as she pulled me in for a hug making me cry the more before she shut the door.
She is the only person who knows the truth and the only person who seems to believe me.

I sat on her bed alongside with her as she patted my head. I raised my head from her shoulder, "Thank You, Rieke. Thank you for believing in me and not...  not being like everyone else" I said through tears.

"You're my bestfriend, and I'd never ever treat you like that." She said. "I'd always believe you no matter what, Sabrina" I smiled at her. I grabbed my backpack from the bed, alongside with my suitcase as she helped me with the remaining two.

We walked out of the dorm as she slammed the door. Few minutes later, the ride she has called came around and I got into the back seat as she placed my suitcases into the trunk.

"I'm gonna miss your ass" She said making me laugh a little. "I'd miss yours too" I replied.

"Of course you'd. I'd be expecting a call from you everyday now" She requests making me chuckle. I nod my head at her request as she blew me a kiss. She slaps the hood of the car.

"You can go now sir" She said to the driver, as the car started to move. I let out a sigh as tears streamed down my cheeks again. I grabbed my headphone listening to Taylor Swift's Snow on the beach staring out the window.

"Miss! Miss! I guess this is your home?" The driver called waking me up from my sleep. I let out a yawn as I looked out the window. The sight of my house made me take a huge gulp in, I'm gonna have to face my parents now. Oh Lord!

"Thank you" I got out of the car, with my suitcases in my hand making my way to the doorstep. Maybe your parents would believe you, just be cool okay?I rang the door bell waiting for an answer but no one opened. I was about to ring it the second time when the door came flying open, revealing Eveline, my younger sister.

Her eyes widened on seeing me as I sent her a small wave. "Hi, Evie" I said sheepishly. She brought herself out of the trance she was in as she stared at me.

"You're not supposed to be here" She whispered. New tears began rolling down my eyes as I looked at her.

"Do you also think I did that Evie?" I cried asking her. She held my hand in hers as she spoke, "I'd never Sabrina,it's just that it looks so real. No one would believe you when you speak".

"Who's by the door, Evie?" Mom's voice rang as her footsteps got closer each second. Before Evie could close the door or even respond, she has reached the doorstep and her eyes widened on seeing me.

"What are you doing here?" She asked flatly, her voice void of emotion. "I came back home ma, to meet you" I said.

She looked at me from my head to my toes without any expression on her face. "Come in" She walked into the house as I smiled at her response. Evie helped me with a suitcase as I walked into the house slamming the door behind me.

"You're not meant to be here?" She says, not looking at me. "Mom? I didn't do anything, that wasn't me! I promise" I yelled as tears rolled down my cheeks.

I'm definitely not gonna get through this, Ever!

"I know you didn't do that. Evie and I believe you but the problem is your...." She paused as I looked at her. I get what she trying to say.

"So Dad is the problem? I mean Michael thinks I did that?" She nods making me gulp which affects my throat. "He doesn't want you around anymore, he said you'd bring shame to his name." She says. "You can stay here for the night tho, I've book a flight to England tomorrow for you, you're gonna live with Mariah"

I looked at the wall, regretting ever dating Larson. I curse the first day I met him and the day he was born into this world. He is such a dick for ruining my life.

I get why Michael did this. It's because I'm not his biological daughter, I wish my father hadn't died when I was two years old. He wouldn't push me away if he were to be alive.

"Okay" Was all I said as I grabbed my last suitcase, walking up the stairs to my room. I felt mother's eyes staring at the back of my head as I hear her let out soft sobs. She could have fought for me, she could have fought Michael, challenged him for me to stay here.

If Eveline was in my shoes, I know he wouldn't have treated his biological daughter the same way he had treated me. He would have stayed by her side until the whole shit was cleared up.

I got into my room, curling myself under the duvet, not bothering to have a bath or taking off my clothes. I stared the blank wall, crying myself to sleep.

Of course this happens to me. When I thought my future was getting bright, Larson finds his way to dim the light.

Ohh!! Poor Poor Sabrina! I did her dirty, didn't i? Well, what's the point of the book if I don't do her dirty? It's not gonna be how I want it to be.

Anyhoo, how's the first chapter or I mean the prologue. First novel on watty I'm putting a prologue, I'm so happy that's why. Funny how I write books based on my moods.

Hope you're enjoying this book.
