Chapter Nineteen: Size

The drive  from Sabrina's house to Rosà Jewelries was exactly fifteen minutes. I parked my car in the available space in the lot, putting off the ignition. I stole a glance at Sabrina who has been quiet throughout our ride and is currently staring out the window.

She's been quiet since she asked me the question about where we were coming for the ring sizing. I took in a deep breath, unclipping my belt before climbing out of the car. I turned around the car, grabbing the door and opening it for her.

Her eyes widened at my action before cracking a smile. "I didn't expect you to take that to heart Mr Huang" She taunted. My lips twitched up upon hearing her words but I bit on my lower lip trying to suppress any form of lip twitching.

"Get out before I changed my mind" I replied flatly making her smile fade away.

She climbed out of the car, as I slammed the door behind her. I watched as she bit on her lower lip nervously making me furrow my brow in worry.

"Is everything okay with you Ms Rhodes?" I asked, tilting my head to the side.

"I'm okay" She replied.

"Are you sure you're okay?" I asked, as we approached the entrance of the store. "I mean we can go to another store if you don't want to be here"

She came a sudden halt leaving me startled, to face me as a smile formed on her face. "I'm fine Adonis" She reassured and I fought the need not to correct her on calling me Mr Huang instead of Adonis.

I really find it weird, hearing call my name. I'm sure younger me would have been... Let's not go there.

I pushed the door open, letting her walk in first before trailing behind her.

"This place looks so much...." She trailed off, her eyes dancing around the store.

"Better?" I completed for her making her nod.

"It's so beautiful" She gushed.

"I mean a lot has changed since you came to England. It's been a very long time you know" I said. We shared eyes contact for a second before I cleared my throat.

"Let's go meet the receptionist shall we?" I gestured towards the young lady standing behind the desk. Sabrina replied with a nod, strolling towards the receptionist as I trailed behind her.

We stopped in front of the receptionist as she greeted us with a warm smile.

"Welcome to Rosà Jewelries, Mr Huang" I narrowed my eyes at her before speaking.

"This is my fiancee" I said, taking Sabrina's hand in mine leaving her surprised.

Her eyes drifted to Sabrina as she forced a smile on her face. "Good day Ma'am. Welcome to Rosà Jewelries" She said.

Sabrina replied with a warm and genuine smile. She's too friendly for goodness sake.

"Is your boss ar...."

"Mr Huang" A feminine voice cut me off, grabbing my attention. I turned to see who it was, and it was the manager of the store.
