Episode 3

"oh-..."

Brooklyn looks up to see a girl in a familiar biker jacket. 

"Layla!"

Athena laughs 'Finally...'

"Girl! Do you you know how long its been!?"

"Sorry, I was bus-" Layla bashfully laughs as Brooklyn slapped her arm.

"I was waiting!"

 The three of them walked to a nearby playground and sat by the swings. As Layla and Brooklyn had a long catch up Athena watched the two. It felt like they went right back to high school.

Just then, a message from Phelium pops up on Athena's phone.

'I think I saw Brooklyn.'

Athena laughed to herself.

"Whats that?" Layla asked.

"Nothing" Athena shook her head, still smiling.

Athena sent Phelium a pic of the society event. 'You should go. She's probably waiting for you too.' 

Shoving her phone into her front pocket, Athena stood up, "Let's go"

The three started to walk again before parting ways.

Layla waved goodbye to the others and gestured to the girl waiting in the distance.

"I gotta go" 

Brooklyn and Athena waved as they watched Layla run and give a warm hug to the girl.

"Must be nice" 

Athena and Brooklyn started to laugh.

"How is the youngest getting there before us"

"No clue" Athena shrugged her shoulder and peered over at Brooklyn's face. She obviously already had someone on her mind.

Scoffing, Athena teased her, "But looks like you will be with someone soon"

"Huh!?" flustered, Brooklyn struggled to find a response.

Laughing loudly, Athena started to jog away from Brooklyn.

"Dont worry!"

"Hey!" Brooklyn shouted at her still looking flustered.

"See you!" Athena gave one last big wave before leaving for real this time.

Still laughing to herself on the way home, Athena swung open the door to their house. Hearing loud laughter and conversation, Athena tilted her head in confusion'Did we have guests today?'

Hesitating to enter the living room, Athena peeked through the doorway. 

"Athena!" Finn shouted.

"What!? Why do you always -" Athena had a scowl on her face as she walked in then paused as she looked at the two guests sitting next to her brother.

Phelium was holding a beer bottle in his hand and had his other arm around the guy beside him. The guy was wearing an all black outfit with a smart but sporty collared jacket. 

"Ethan!?" Athena gawped in surprise. Phelium smiled and lifted his arm from Ethan who softly laughed. 

Athena joined the others, quietly stealing food from the table whilst she observed the guys. 

"Finn, when are you going to treat us? You promised us three years ago." Ethan asked in a joking manner.

Finn looked at them dead straight in the eyes, then gestured at the bottles in their hands and at the table covered with all of the food that he had prepared himself. There was marinated beef cut in thin slices, cooked above the small bbq stove alongside handfuls of bright lettuce and other side dishes. 

Phelium coughed in the silence and gave a quiet "Thank you" before he stuffed some more food in his mouth. Ethan laughed as he took another sip from his bottle,"Thank you bro". Finn shook his head and sighed "These kids".

"But Finn, how about that road trip?" Phelium asked before  quickly dodging a swipe from Finn's hand.

"Hey hey" Finn started to nag again. "Im gonna end up broke cause of you two."

Noticing Athena's silence. Phelium grabbed his arm around her in a  half-choking stance. 

"Bro-" Athena patted his arm quick and elbowed his stomach. 

"Hey hey you two, don't fight!" Finn scolded them, with a slightly tired and embarrassed look.

Ethan chuckled, 'these two will never change'

"Are you guys gonna go to the dance comp?" Athena asked.

Ethan and Phelium turned to silence at the question. 

Finn looked at the guys and sighed with a small smile, "Just go, why are you guys hesitating so much?"

Ethan exchanged looks with Phelium and put his arm around his shoulder. Taking a deep breath in, Phelium crossed his arms while thinking to himself.

"Just go," Athena softly punched Phelium in the arm.

"Okay, we'll go."

Athena's eyes lit up and Finn sighed in relief while he took another bite of food in his mouth.

"If you guys treat us."

Finn's eyes widened and he got up to his feet in lightning speed. He grabbed a cushion from the coach ready to hit Phelium and Ethan but the two guys had already scrambled out of the way to run. Athena laughed and dodged them as she watched the guys bicker.
