A/N: chapter 2's song recommendation : LAKEY INSPIRED - Blossom hope you guys enjoy~!
Entering the classroom, the room was filled with the chorus of students chatting, laughing and shouting. Moving between the groups, Layla slumped down into her seat and dropped her backpack beside Athena's who took the seat next to her.
Whilst Athena leaned down to rest her head on the table, Brooklyn tapped the desk. She sat in the seat opposite them and had an excited expression on her face.
"What is it?" Layla asked, anticipating the response. Athena lifted her head to see Brooklyn holding back a smile.
"Actually I-" Brooklyn was interrupted by the class door opening. Two boys walked in, one with messy hair and gold rimmed glasses and the other, slightly taller, followed him.
"Hey!" The glasses boy's hands slammed onto the desk's surface causing Athena to scowl at him. He laughed and messed with her hair. Athena blocked his hand and pushed his arm away. Then sunk back down with her brows furrowed.
"Phelium" The boy turned to look at Brooklyn. "Are you staying after school today?" she said, slightly hesitant to have asked him.
"I have basketball today, why?"
"I was wondering if..."
Their voices trailed off and were overtaken by Athena's thoughts. Phelium was her childhood friend, to her he's been the most annoying person since they met. To Brooklyn however, Athena knew that he probably sparkled through her eyes.
"Good morning~!" The form tutor walked into the classroom. His voice ringing above the busy class. Athena came back to her senses and watched people rush to their seats. Some left the room hurriedly to go to their right forms.
"Bye." Ethan said walking out with hands in his pockets.
"I'll see you guys later then! Maybe lunch?" Phelium shouted at them before the door closed behind him.
Layla looked questioningly at Brooklyn who was still smiling.
"Do you like someone?" Layla asked.
"Huh?" For a second Brooklyn's face was startled, then returned to a grin. " I like Phelium." She admitted.
Athena shook her head and laughed. 'It's so obvious'
"ooooooh" teased Layla. Brooklyn suddenly looked flustered and tried to look away from her friends.
"Anyways, can we please go somewhere today?" Layla asked. "Oh come on, how about this Friday then?"
Athena felt Layla's hands on her arms dragging them back and forth. Giving in, Athena reluctantly sat up and sighed. "Fine"
"Yas" exclaimed Layla. Grinning at her, then at Brooklyn who was still flustered.
