Episode 8

Phelium sat by the kitchen counter with a can of beer in his hand. He took large gulps and aggressively put the can back down.

"Hey hey, don't drink too much." Finn nagged as he patted Phelium's shoulder. He sat down beside him and laughed. 

"So what happened after that?" Finn asked, curious as to what made Phelium reach this state. 

"That guy..." Phelium grumbled.

Earlier

"Can you give me a chance?" 

"Oooo~" A loud voice broke the silence. 

They turned to see Ryan staring at them with arms crossed and an amused smile across his face. 

Phelium's eyebrows twitched. 

Ryan slowly approached Phelium and put his arm around him. He jokingly pointed his finger at Phelium.

"This one... wah... you have some guts in you after all!" Ryan had a somewhat proud look on his face as he patted Phelium's back. 

"Right Brooklyn?" As they waited for Brooklyn's response she quickly diverted eye contact and walked off.

Phelium watched at a loss as Brooklyn got further away. Ryan couldn't hold back his laugh.

"Good going man" He slapped Phelium's back again before also walking off. 

"Hey!" Phelium shouted at Ryan, but he started to walk even faster.

"See ya!" Ryan shouted back without turning back.

Phelium kicked the air in frustration as he looked at Ryan's back.

Finn bursted out laughing while Phelium rubbed his face with his hands. 

"It's fine, you just got to wait for her answer now." Finn tried to reassure Phelium. "But where's Ethan at?"

"Why is Finn asking for Ethan?" Athena asked the girls.

"Who knows?" Layla shrugged her shoulders with an indifferent look even though she already had several misread messages and spam calls from him.

Athena scoffed at her reaction. 

"Guys, I have something to tell you" Brooklyn caught their attention.

Layla and Athena listened as Brooklyn explained the current situation. Layla's eyes were gleaming in excitement even when she tried to cover her reaction with her hands. Athena laughed in disbelief.

She quickly typed on her phone.

Athena : "Can you give me a chance!?? Wow bro, are you kidding me lol" 

Phelium: "Shut up"

Laughing to herself, she looked back at Brooklyn and smiled in excitement.

"So, what's your answer?" 

Athena and Layla leaned forward in anticipation to Brooklyn's response. 

Before she could answer, a guy approached their table.

"I take it it's going well?" 

They all looked up in surprise.

"What?" Ethan looked at the three with a blank expression. 

The three girls started to laugh, leaving Ethan in confusion.

"What? What?" Ethan felt slightly left out as he sat down. "Hey don't leave me out"

"Hey my brother is looking for you" Athena showed Ethan the messages from Finn. 

Layla elbowed Ethan, "Why are you even here?"

Ethan laughed in disbelief, "You didn't even answer my calls or messages. You just left me earlier today when I walked back to class with your coffee."

Athena and Brooklyn scoffed. Layla started to push Ethan.

"Am I not allowed to be here?" 

" Yeah, you're not."

"Wow you guys are so mean"

"Finn! I'm back!" Athena shouted as they arrived. "Ethan is here!"

As they entered the living room they both sighed in disappointment.

Both Finn and Phelium were visibly quite drunk. Athena feared the mess she would have to tidy if they continued to drink. Ethan scratched the side of his face as he watched them.

"Hey go back home guys" Athena pushed Phelium to move but he wouldn't budge.

Athena took a moment to look at her brother and Phelium then took out a water spray and targeted Finn's face.

"Bro! Get up!" 

Finn stood up in surprise and squinted his eyes at the water. 

"Hey! What the?" 

Athena laughed and started to target all of them.

"Can you give me a chance?" Athena shouted, jokingly copying Phelium.

Embarrassed, Phelium quickly got up and chased Athena as he tried to steal the water spray from her.

"Hey! Get back here!"
